0. The enumerated list thing is really handy. Sorry for being unoriginal.
1. Finally watched Rokkakumyu and Rikkaimyu last weekend! I really like the rival schools (Irei's pretty attractive as Saeki... and Sanada still slaps people, yay). No comments either way about the new Seigaku (though Minami is really reminiscent of Kengo for some reason... or maybe some other cast member that I can't place at the moment... well, the point is that he's a good singer, but he's not really distinctive because he reminds me too much of someone else).
My favorite song from Rokkakumyu has to be Acrobatics & Genius, even if Aiba still can't really sing. >_> But the harmonizing is so good, and Rokkaku sounds so awesome! They were also very fun to watch during Court de Aou! Good, strong vocals, and well-done choreography (especially the simultaneous stepping... I have a thing for stepping choreography). Unfortunately, the same can't be said about the choreography during Kagami no Naka no Ore 2... as much as I love Hyoutei, and as nice as the song is, the arm-flapping and wrist jiggling and whatever else made them look like damn fools. My favorites are the there's-something-smelly-in-front-of-my-face move and the fist-held-against-forehead-in-angst pose.
As far as Rikkaimyu goes, my favorite part was the D1 sequence. So fun. Baba Tooru yay, glasses YAY. 8D And my favorite song in that musical is the Must Be Strong/Finalist medley at the end. It combines some pretty good harmonizing with all of the joy of classic Tenimyu Engrish.
d00d, I haven't fangirled Tenimyu since, like, last year. It's nice to see that I still really enjoy it, even if it's not quite the same as it used to be.
2. Yay for sheet music! My summer project just came in the mail: Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee (because Harrison wanted me to play it). I also need to work on the third movement of the Bruch concerto, to finally finish that sucker off after three years. D: To keep in mind for the future: Zigeurnerweisen, Lalo, Mendelssohn, Kabalevsky, Brahm sonatas. I'mma be a good violinist someday.
3. bubblewrapglory.org! It's probably going to be another collective, but I'll do one site at a time so that my ambition doesn't paralyze me. Ideas? I really think I need to do a violin website, and then some type of meganephile website.
Also, Anna, since I was pseudo-hosting you before, if you want a subdomain or something (it'll be reliable this time, since I'm doing it all myself), let me know.
