ltgmars: (kamadate!torishishi ~ you and me)
After much internal debate and torment and weepiness, I've decided to take one thing off my necessities list. It'll save me about $45-50 in the end, but you don't understand how much I want to see those dorks crossdress in scary, scary outfits and makeup.

So yeah. In true anal completist fashion (if I can't have it all, I shouldn't have any), I need to sell my copy of *pnish* panic days. )

There just isn't enough room in my wallet for anyone but Kamakari. :/ Because I just found another fscking auction and there's so much stuff that I don't have or can't have and I'm going to cry. ;_;

*sends more money to CELGA*

Speaking of whom (the former, not the latter... well, the former in the latter, not the former-former), I'm making a Kamakari moodtheme. It's going to take for-freaking-ever, and considering that I have major college things that have major college deadlines v. v. soon (i.e. Sunday), I shouldn't even be considering it right now, but I've already looked through my photobook for shots that could be mood-worthy. =_=;;

ltgmars: (torishishi ~ love hurts)
They're quick. And there should be something for everyone. Maybe. :D Actually, if I threw Harry Potter in there, there probably would be something for everyone, but I don't have anything to say about it at the moment, so... :/

I really can't get enough of that song. Like, seriously, OMG. It's so cute. Does anyone know when the single's coming out (if it isn't already out)? I mean, it's not like I'd be able to buy the thing, but I'm sure good ol' #nipponsei will handle it whenever it comes out.

</super-leecher mode>

And there is a second *pnish* photobook in the works. *weeps into empty wallet* No matter. I won't be able to order it until next year anyway (when I'm out of the house), so I suppose I'll be able to save up for it. :D

But none of that matters since I frickin' saw Jupiter and Saturn tonight. O_O Sarah invited her Science Research class to her house for a stargazing party, and, naturally, I came despite my distinct lack of being-in-that-class-ness and knowing-Dr.-Loughran-ness. XD Doc Lough brought the telescope, and we got to see Jupiter (though Cait was busy looking at Bobby's house through her binoculars XD). Everyone but Sarah and I got to see Saturn before it was swallowed up by clouds, but it cleared up by about 11:15 (after everyone had gathered around the bonfire to eat chips and smores and stuff), and we had a gorgeous view of it. By that time, though, my parents were getting testy, and it was getting pretty late, so we all ended up leaving before we tried to find Mars.

But wow. I've never gone stargazing before, and I was absolutely blown away. You could see Jupiter's stripes (and three of its moons) and Saturn's rings. Doc Lough said it was the best view of Saturn he'd ever seen, and, well, I believe it.

Definitely one of the coolest things I've ever done. Makes me wish I lived on a farm away from the lights of civilization. XD

It's still the 22nd in the States... I still have time...

Happy birthday, Sano Daiki-san!
May you be just as dorky (read: frickin' sweet) this year as you have been in years past.

One Piece, what? XD

Come on, guys, complete the circuit!

~(^-^)~ ~(^-^)~ ~(^o^)~ ~(^-^)~

Now that I think that that surge of hyper insanity has passed, I'll just say that I changed my LJ layout (there's actually some pertinent information in the sidebar now) and I overhauled my entry tags and I posted some doodles from random boring days during Media at [ profile] yoymisogorgeous... Yeah, I know you don't care, but I feel quite accomplished.

And I made it so that the new layout's color scheme still complies with Buchou~!

~(O_o)~ Woo!!
ltgmars: (fuuma ~ rawr)
I forgot to mention last week that I got Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne volume 1 while I was at Purdue (my parents are much looser with their money when they travel, even if it's a 2.5-hour drive to someplace we go all the time).

KKJ/CMX reactions/rant )

Oh, crap. I do have a Tenipuri-related update. Sort of. Just... *pnish* panic days is supposed to arrive today, but I doubt it will. :/ But feel free to stalk my package with me!

Oh, and one more thing. I'd just like to remind you all that Fuuma (the fellow in my icon)'s seiyuu is Suwabe Junichi. Old news, I know, and I watched X TV years before Ayu-chan clued me in on just how hawt Suwabe's voice is, but I just wanted to mention it. Yargh... :D

Okay, last thing, I promise... I'm totally going to learn the guitar part to Hotel California. I love that song. And if you're going to say something stupid like, "But Inez, darling, you have no idea how to play the guitar!" and claim that honesty is the best policy, then you're not my friend anymore. ._.

I've given up on trying to think of good subjects for these posts, so from now on, they'll be strange little emoticons like the one for today's post or one-word descriptions of my life at the exact point in time at which I post (probably not... I'm just not being particularly clever at the moment).

So yes, it's been shipped (if that isn't a !____! type of post, I don't know what is). My happy *pnish* panic days book, which fell into Akadot Retail hands Friday morning (or Thursday night, though I got the e-mail Friday morning), was ordered by me in a crazy frenzy Friday night, and has been constantly monitored for a change in shipping status (from "pending" to "shipped") about five times a day for the past three days... As of several minutes ago, that puppy's been shipped!

I forget how long my first order from Akadot Retail (the Sutepri artbook and Nakajima Atsuko's Tsuya) took to get here (a couple weeks, maybe), but all that's left now is to drive maniacally home after school every day and wait several hours to see if Fedex will be delivering my happy book that day.

Ah, such is life.

And right now I'm wishing that I hadn't chosen such a potentially repetitive topic for my English paper... and maybe that I'd written it two weeks ago like I should have so that I wouldn't be slaving over it now...

It's a freaking awesome topic, though. I think so, at least.

/me leaves you hangin'...

October 2nd is Scandia's birthday. Dunno if I ever said it, though, so happy belated birthday! ^^;;;;;;;;

October 3rd is MoriEiji's birthday. <333 He's so funny... ><;;

October 4th is Atobe's birthday, and as a tribute to his wonderful voice, I'm using a little clip of his "ore-sama no BIGI ni yoi na" when I start up my computer (and if you're curious, I'm using a clip of MoriEiji saying some stuff I don't understand but sounding really cool as my shutdown clip). :D

October 7th is Tezuka-buchou's birthday. Love for Buchou, people, love for Buchou~...

October 10th is Ayu-chan's birthday, even though she refuses to tell people because she's afraid of people forgetting or whatever. -_-

October 11th is Mrs. Chismar's birthday, and we all ("all" as in me, Beth, Claire, and Bobby) remember that amazingly happy-fuzzy Econ Elite moment we had after school - Danny brought cake and candles, and we all gathered in Mrs. Chismar's office, huddled around her desk (all nine of us) while we sang her happy birthday.

October 14th is Alan's birthday! I spent the day using up my eighteen "Alan's face" comments. (Beth can tell you the tale about the last one, which I promised would be nice and ended up being something insane like "Alan's face is heaven." XDD)

There are lots of other awesome birthdays in October (and if someone reading this also has an October birthday and I didn't mention it/forgot it/got the date wrong, sorry!!), but the best is yet to come. Yes, oh, yes, my glorious eighteenth is coming up this weekend, so I'm getting my parents to buy me stuff. Well, buy me more stuff (my mom got me the latest Series of Unfortunate Events book (suhweet!), but I can't read it yet since I haven't read the previous eleven... XD Additionally, Diki got me a stuffed neko-Kyo ("nekyo"? XD) from Furuba and the first Yotsuba&! graphic novel... it's amazingly cute and funny, but predictably, it's cheesy-stupid Azumanga humor that isn't terribly sophisticated and is sometimes difficult to appreciate since it's so... stupid)... So yeah, since my quest for birthday gifts is neverending, I decided to look up the *pnish* panic days photobook (I want it!!!! ><), but I could only find it on websites that export from Japan as opposed to importing into the US before shipping domestically. What does that leave me with?

1. Don't get *pnish* panic days because my parents don't want to deal with the shipping even though the book itself is, like, $17. And so what if the shipping is 2-3x the actual cost of the book? It's for a good cause!! [insert selfish pout here]
2. Find some domestic store that'll special order it for me so that I can get it eventually.

You know me. I'm not a watch-as-it-happenser, I'm a make-it-happener.

To: )

I thought the textbook "to whom it may concern" line was good... Maybe they'll actually take me seriously (again, you know me... it's tough for me to be completely serious in writing).

But yeah, in other news, I was sick yesterday. Really sick. Dreadfully sick. Woke-up-at-four-but-literally-started-sobbing-because-I-couldn't-move-a-frickin'-muscle-and-pull-myself-out-of-bed-to-go-to-the-bathroom-till-six sick. Wrenched-my-screaming-body-back-into-bed-and-called-my-dad-downstairs-via-cellphone-begging-him-to-bring-me-water-and-medicine sick. Was-cold-on-my-bed-but-couldn't-raise-my-arms-enough-to-get-more-cuddled-under-the-covers sick. Writhed-in-bed-from-a-throbbing-headache-and-a-terrible-fever-and-achey-Lupusiness-when-I-could-move-several-hours-later sick.

I haven't been that sick in a while.

Mercifully, my parents let me recover at home today. Mommy and Daddy went to Purdue yesterday (that's how they delivered Diki's presents for me) and got me pizza on the way home, and Mommy also got me cream of broccoli soup (one of my favorites) for lunch today.

Lupus sucks, but it's nice to be so extremely pampered sometimes. ^^;;

Oh, one more thing, for everyone out there who returns my love for you (and dude, if I don't love you, WTF are you doing reading my LJ?):

Happy National Friendship Week!
Even though there is no such week. National Friendship Day, though, is August 4th. =^_^=
ltgmars: (Default)
So someone uploaded the music video for the NaBs' (that's pronounced "nay-bees") Wake Up Your Heart and shared the link in the tenimyu LJ comm. Bad idea... now I get the chance to squeal poetic (post screenshots, rather) about (of) KENN!

KENN-chan~ )

I feel sorry for my parents (especially my dad, who sits next to me, working on his laptop, and occasionally looks over at what I'm doing, sighs, and goes back to work). I have such weird fandoms. >< But KENN is younger than MoriEiji (23 as opposed to freshly 29 as of October 3rd... BUT WAH~ I LOVE YOU~~~~~)... And they're both younger than Tony Scalzo (40) and Matthew Broderick (43), but neither really speaks English (though MoriEiji says "sexy" a lot XD).

Speaking of MoriEiji... I watched the *pnish* radio show this morning. Tuti and Washio hosted it, so no MoriEiji, but I was highly amused to see that Tuti was wearing a "trendy" scarf (like, a thin one that doesn't keep you warm or anything) and a t-shirt and blazer, which adds to his awesomeness. I was going to take a screenshot, but I forgot to.

But seriously, I love Japanese fashion. It's so funny... >_>
