ltgmars: ([tenimyu] shishido ~ eh)
Grabbing bits and pieces while I eat food (since it's hard for me to be productive during food time). It's easier and less risky to watch Tenimyu during such a busy time because there are breaks between songs/matches, whereas when it's Gilmore Girls, I want to watch each disc at once, which is a 3-hour block of time.

I haven't learned the new A-Hyoutei members' names yet, besides Yuu-chan (in fact, I haven't even learned 4th Gen Seigaku's names yet... I feel like I haven't been able to connect with them yet, though I suppose it just needs more time and more viewings), but main comment so far:

Oshitari's actor's singing voice reminds me of Tsuda Kenjirou a little bit. Did anyone else feel that way?

The thing about being productive, I've found, is that one actually has to, you know, do things. Now that I've zipped through the third season of Gilmore Girls, I think I'm finally in a good place to start to get things done. The fourth season is possibly my favorite -- Lorelai and Sookie get going on the inn, things with Luke and Lorelai finally start up, Rory experiences new things (with the same old Paris) in college... I must say that Jason is probably my least favorite of Lorelai's long-term male encounters, but of course it's all better by the end of the season because Luke's my favorite. :3

So yeah. Moratorium on Gilmore until, say, finals week (because, as it usually turns out, my finals week is going to be a lot lighter than my week-before-finals week).

Things-to-Do List, v1.0 )

Let's see how long I can keep up posting daily.

I just chugged a can of Starbucks "doubleshot" drink with some natural, non-caffeine energizers in it. I didn't do it for any particular tiredness reason -- to be honest, I'm usually pretty energetic without any chemicals in me -- but now I can't type straight because my hands are trying to go too fast. D: D: D:

After last month's Grounded for Life kick, I caved and bought the full-series package of Gilmore Girls (shoutout to the fans out there -- I know there are a couple), which I've been systematically peeling through. In a week and a half I'm about a quarter of the way through the third season. This week is going to particularly difficult for my need for Gilmore because I've been roped into playing in the pit for the musical City of Angels (which, I'll give you, is a very cool musical), but since it's tech/hell week, it can't be helped. I've got a long line of late nights ahead of me...

Right now I'm at one of my jobs (Language Learning Center). This one is the sit-in-front-of-the-computer-and-do-your-homework job, so I'm going to use this time to watch Lorelai and the gang. Teehee.

The problem with skipping out on LJ for two months is having to get caught up. I mean, I enjoy it, but my loverly friends list suffers from it. Sorry. ><

So I'll do as much as I can in as little space as possible...

Buchou~ *___* Shishido's album is really good. Like, really good. (I'm pretty sure I'm going to try to buy it once I can order stuff online.) Wintermyu is hot. Akadot Retail sent me OCEAN LINE. Kamakari goes, "Ko-Koorogi? Koorogi ya!" in his DVD. (I watched an idol DVD. Apocalypse Now, what?) I'm currently experiencing an unhappy allergic reaction to some strange facial medicine. I bought KKJ 2, Howl's Moving Castle, and My Neighbor Totoro with a large sum of paycheck money that my mother withheld from me for two years. I want the Gilmore Girls box sets. The only thing I saw of the Olympics was an hour or so of the opening ceremonies. Claire sent me a Singing Valentine "from the cast of Tenipuri". I contemplated getting fake glasses (still do; I'd probably do it if it didn't make me ridiculously pretentious). I'm getting better (less awful) at Japanese. I've forgotten everything there is to know about Spanish. Torishishi makes me so happy. I need to buy HP4. (Rupert Grint rocks my socks.) My Instrumental Ensemble ensemble kicks butt. I've already killed my computer with stuff I downloaded in one day, but I still have so much more to download. I'm trying to convince my mother to buy me Fastball's live albums (here and here), and she may be willing to do it since they're not of Japanese origin. We had a happy Indonesian dinner at Great Wall last week, and I ate some creepy-looking fish. Japanese Culture Club has made a subtle shift from "meeting after school in Kuharic's room" to "everyone coming home with me to watch anime at my house". (Which I wouldn't mind if the regulars weren't so potentially irritating.) I need to get a paid LJ account (for icons, yes). My mouth hurts.

And three pre-typed picspam posts coming your way. Right now.

And my suggested playlist for Rae! )

I finished reading Hanakimi (yeah, "When'd you start?", right?). Very cute series (with a bit of shounen-ai on the side, too... nice)! Well, I won't say much else because it's a long series and I don't know how many others have read it, but it really is cute. All I have to worry about now is compressing a few files so that the entire thing'll fit on a 700-MB CD-R.

What else, what else? Oh, I caught up with this week's episodes of Gilmore Girls (I record them and watch them later). Be warned, I care very little about spoiling major plotpoints for live action series. :/

Lookie, lookie! Nezzie found herself a non-anime series to be obsessed with!

I <3 Gilmore Girls (evidently, Abby understands). Rory and Dean make such a cute couple... they'd better end up together when all's said and done (that's what all the fans want, after all). I really want to get the DVDs, but seeing as how there's a great lackage of money right now, I don't see it happening anytime soon. Besides, I still have some anime to buy as well, and, well, anime > life itself.

Yeah, somehow I'm not good at gushing about non-anime series. Just finished watching the first of three episodes of Akane Maniax, though. Strikingly different from Kimi ga Nozomu Eien... Interesting, though.

I <3 Seki Tomokazu! )

Have had And See You from You're Under Arrest! on loop all day. It's the last song that plays at the end of the second season, and it's actually quite nice and triumphant. It accompanies the scene where Nakajima-kun and Miyuki finally come to an understanding of their relationship. Aww, so cute.

YUA! is grossly underappreciated. Seriously.

Hopefully shall make a cameo appearance at school tomorrow. At the very least, I need to pick stuff up from Mr. Dillon and Mr. Dolezal for a summer camp at MIT I'm applying for. It seems really interesting (EE and computer science... they're such "me" things to be interested in), but I have to write three freaking essays for it. By tomorrow. ~_~
