fall 2008 II: return of the fall 2008

So I have my finalized schedule for fall 2008. It's a little different from last time because apparently two major things are happening in EAS:

1. My advisor is going on sabbatical, WTF. Way to be, getting tenure and stuff.
2. The professor who usually teaches Modern Japanese Literature will be teaching full time at Villanova next year, which means no class with her, and apparently she's part of what makes that class as good as it is, so no Modern Japanese Literature at all next year.

So.

JNSE 100 - Third-Year Japanese
CNSE 001 - First-Year Chinese (Intensive)
ICPR 290 - Interdepartmental Perspectives on Gender and Sexuality
ENGL 363 - The Awful Rehearsal: Traumas of Freedom in U.S. Literature

And I'm officially [drumroll]... majoring in East Asian Studies with a concentration in Gender and Sexuality Studies! [badum!] My thesis has to be GenSex-related in order to get the concentration, but I was thinking something along those lines anyway.

But yeah, I turned in the sheet to the registrar today. I technically put it in one of those stupid interdepartmental envelope things that students never use but occasionally receive and put it in campus mail, but still. It's turned in and official and everything.

I think that's all for now. I was thinking the other day that I should write blog entries like Saito Takumi, all philosophical and that, but I don't think that's happening anytime soon.
