I started a foreign-language journal. [livejournal.com profile] motocompo, named after the type of motorbike that Natsumi rides in You're Under Arrest! (I also paid for it because I forgot that the ads make me cry.) I'll primarily be posting in Japanese, with some Spanish (and next year some Chinese) thrown in. So if you have any foreign-language journals, let me know and I'll happily friend you, even if I don't understand the language. It'll be a collective of amazing non-English.

I have to finish a website that's been several months in the making. Tonight. As well as catch up on some Japanese studying that I'm behind on, and another website that should have been finished months ago, and some Flash videos (Flash? Do I know how to do that yet?) that are due Friday. It's summer but I'm school-year busy.

Most of the studying is going toward the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (which in Japanese is just called the "ability test"). Harrison and I decided to go for L3, and while it isn't whoa-impressive, that we took the test and (hopefully) passed it at all will look good on our resumes. (Of course, that's not why we're doing it. We're doing it for the love of Japanese. Really.) We met with our Japanese professor, who highly suggested that we watch a lot of Japanese dramas to practice listening to real people talk in Japanese. XD So any drama suggestions? I'm sure I've asked this before, but this time I'll really make sure I watch things you suggest... it's teacher-prescribed and everything.

Real update (like, about my life and stuff) soon. Maybe.

Nobuta wo Produce is a nice cheesy school drama. One Litre of Tears is a really amazing drama (the title is also a disclaimer!) and Hana Yori Dango is a silly romance drama. Ummm. Kimi wa Petto is quite good as well. And Tadashii Ouji wo Tsukuri Kata if you want random TeniMyu people with quite a funny plot :D

I also recommend Hana kimi also if you can get a hold of it still both series of Waterboys where really good.

Look up DDboys and you'll find a lot of random stuff like Princess princess D, Delicious Gakuin, Oujisama o tsukurikatta (not the best but they are all good fun). It's been a while since I watched anything new -__-

Good luck studying for L3. I'm thinking of going for L4 this year I'f I improve my Japanese by August I'll go for L3 again. but fail it once already ;.;

Added you from [livejournal.com profile] kotodama! ♥

Good luck with the exam! As for drama suggestions...I don't really know too many, but I did love "Kiken na Aneki" and "Nodame Cantabile" (live-action). =)

Nobuta was one of the first dramas I'd seen all the way through. (Actually, one of the only. Maybe... the only? Geez, I need to watch more.) Thanks for the other suggestions... I'd forgotten about Kimi wa Petto, but I was eying it beadily some time ago.

XDDDD Zettai Kareshi. I wonder how it is compared to the manga. Watase draws such pretty boys...

The Waterboys movie is amazing! My friend borrowed it from the library for my birthday freshman year, and I liked it so much that I bought it. XD

Good luck with JLPT! 一緒に頑張りましょうね。

Yay for foreign-language journals! :D

I watched some episodes of Nodame with my boyfriend's hall this past year. It's one of the most cartoony dramas I've seen. (We also watched a few episode of Tokyo Tower, and we all cried, like, every episode...)

First of all, your foreign-language journal sounds fantastic! Good luck with the Chinese. I learned to speak some Mandarin, but I'm pretty sure none of it stuck. ^^;

As for dramas, I enjoyed the drama Liar Game (http://wiki.d-addicts.com/LIAR_GAME). Kurosagi (http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Kurosagi) was fairly entertaining as well. All of the costumes were pretty funny. I've only heard good things about Sekai no Chuushin de, Ai wo Sakebu (http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Sekai_no_Chuushin_de,_Ai_wo_Sakebu) in addition to the already mentioned Nodame and Zettai Kareshi.

Anyway, good luck with that exam! =]

Ooh, Kurosagi. Yamapi's so great. XD

Somehow I'd forgotten that you're such a drama buff. Thanks for the suggestions! :3

Ha ha, indeed! Yamapi is quite great. XD
He had my friend saying "akira shock" and "kon" for a ridiculous amount of time after viewing Nobuta. Oh, those JE boys have an overwhelming amount of power. Happy drama-watching! ^_^
