i.e., video spam. Forgive me.

Showed the boy the PV for my boys' new single. Upon seeing MatsuJun, the boy said, "What is he wearing?" soon followed by spotting Nino and saying, "What is HE wearing?" Apparently the video is something like a "lumberjack-laden prom".

But it's good. :3 The boy likes the chorus. He also enjoys the part where Sho "hijacks the video". (I enjoy that part, too.)

Today my newly-put-together quartet is having its first real performance at Bryn Mawr. I say "newly-put-together" because the other violinist and the cellist were both abroad last semester, and our previous violist graduated last year, so we had to find a new violist. This time, we're all juniors, and 5/8 Asian (this is relevant somehow, I'm sure), so we'll be together until we graduate. But since we had to get used to the new violist, we decided on a fairly easy-to-put-together piece, Mendelssohn Op. 44. (Actually, I'd already played it in eighth grade, but this time I'm playing the second violin part, so at least it isn't totally uninteresting.)

(Minus the proud grandparents in the foreground, probably plus more mistakes.)

"Lumberjack-laden prom" = best/most accurate description ever. We all know that woodsmen like to be a bit fanciful at times, ha ha. Anyway, thanks for posting that vid otherwise I wouldn't have known it was released yet! I think I liked Sho's part the most. *nods*

I think every PV has a different "fashion" theme. The Step and Go PV, for example, was basically "bright colors and flappy parts" because of course that's what would look good in twirly slow motion.

Be sure to look up the Kumori Nochi, Kaisei PV, too. Ohno makes me double over in pain and happiness because of how adorable he is.

Kumori Nochi, Kaisei (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTrD_7JF6b8)

Surprisingly difficult to find (as in, I had to type two or three different things into the search box).

Fack, the uploader uses fangirl Japanese. I was going to post a mini-rant about it on my LJ, but I decided not to since everyone's heard the rant before. But eugh, whatever, the PV's still good. Though apparently he was incredibly sleepy when he was shooting it. XD

Also, beware: it's another creepy-children PV. Only for a little bit, though (not like how it was the entirety of the Hitomi no Naka no Galaxy PV).

Here's the thing, though (and maybe you don't feel the same way) -- I miss the really happy PVs. Sakura Sake, Happiness, We can make it!, Kitto Daijoubu, etc. I mean, disregarding the lyrics (which are typically fairly optimistic), lately they've just sounded more... "serious". Slow ballad-y things or serious theme songs and the like. (truth was a different matter completely.) I mean, I like it all, but I kind of miss grinning madly at a PV just because it's so happy and goofy. It just feels as if the "happiness" they inject isn't through the singles themselves but through the B-sides (Smile, Tobira, etc. have been quite peppy)... I want my rainbows and sunshine back.

Though I guess Kaze no Mukou e is pretty happy comparatively (though the PV is still stupidly monochromatic). And I suppose Oh-chan's PV is pretty good. Smile moar, yesplz. *_*

Regardless, our boys look good, don't they?

^ Didn't intend for that to happen. You understand, yeah?

Also! Random, but! The only reason the One Love PV exists is so that we can look at Nino's chicken legs in his silly shorts.

I totally understand what you mean. I want Hadashi no Mirai instead of Truth, really. Arashi is my genki happy band. I do really love the dance to this video though, largely due to the big Matsujun coat flair.

Smile, guys! It's why we love you!

I just got around to reading these comments since I've been ill and I almost choked on my banana at "flappy parts." But, yes, I never noticed they always have a fashion objective with their PVs.

Also, I ADORED the Kumori Nochi, Kaisei PV. Is that for his recent drama? I remember reading the synopsis for it in the jdrama comm and thinking "I have to watch this!" Alas, I haven't but it's best that I don't yet. I haven't even finished the dramas I started during winter break. Erg.

The concerts, too, always yield interesting fashion results. I can't wait for the new DVD to come so that I can see what they made our boys where this time. XD

It is for his new drama. *nods* It's apparently only eight episodes long (the last one airing this Friday), so it's a little less of an undertaking that most dramas, but it's really good and dramatic and funny and addictive, so do watch it when you get the chance.
