** Pisses me off that they use "their" here for "anyone". "Anyone" is so clearly singular. Also, I should maybe stop caring about grammar because I get wound up about things like this, and it makes me look like a grammatically awkward douche when I use "whom" properly and "none" as a singular pronoun.*** Additionally, my rant right now makes me look like a super-douche, because I know that I'm not perfect with my grammar all the time and it's like, "Get off your high horse, Inez, you kind of suck at grammar so stop thinking that you're better than everyone else." *** Hahaha, I also totes don't use proper grammar when I'm RPing as Nino, and it pains me to have to be grammatically incorrect. I love you, Neen, but you're not the kind of person who'd use "whom" in the right place (and especially not during schmoopytimes).

As you all know, I love the "It" article series, and this is a phenomenal shot from the May 2010 issue. (I can identify the shots by month; that's how much I love them. Also, the index helps. This doesn't count toward my five sentences, does it?) I also think yay_box makes wonderful wallpapers, and I tend toward her creations more often than not. One thing I hate about this shot (which I've ranted to Cami about on several occasions) is how evident it is that this man is a skinny little butt who needs to eat more. Also, what's up with those sleeves, Japan? Umm... lookit him look how good he looks d'aww Neen epic action shot unfunfunf yes.

Also, does anyone else keep his/her program icons in a certain order?***** I have to have Chrome, Windows Explorer, Trillian, iTunes, Firefox, Notepad, in that order, all open even if I'm not using them at the moment. I recognize that I'm compulsive about strange things, but you all have certain lineups that you have to keep in order, right? Right? Someone corroborate, please.

Can't stop listening to this song. You know. This one. Ves said very astutely, "Such a pissy title has to be a Nino song." And I laughed, because it's so true. But GDI, guys, I love this song. I've had it on loop all day. The lyrics, the lyrics... they're all about the title, you know. I love that he tells stories in his songs. Also, I think he knows how to use his voice really well. I especially love the part in the last refrain where he sings "wakannai kedo". I literally made a "hnnn" kind of noise when I first heard it. And every subsequent time I heard it.

See, the real problem with you grammar rant is that, after it, you didn't provide a grammatically sound rewrite of the meme. *clucks tongue* Shaaaaaame.

The wallpaper is fabulous and, yes, burgers for Arashi.

My icons have to be in a certain order, too. Sometimes I change the order if I get a new desktopable program, but usually I don't. If you have them in a certain order you can more or less click the needed button without having to look. Mouse memory and stuff.

Heh, funny you should mention that, because usually I do rewrite memes so that they're passed down full of grammatical correctitude.

Oh my goodness, so many burgers for Arashi. And for all kinds of boy bands in Japan, right?

Part of the icons thing is also aesthetics for me. I arranged them originally in a way that makes physical sense, but now if they're out of order, it looks ugly.

Pssh. Grammar. Actually, I tend to be picky about it on certain days myself. All depends on how much I care about how other people talk/type (which is becoming less and less lately).

Pretty wallpaper is pretty, and not overly bright I must say, which is always nice. :D

TV volume on a multiple of five ♥ I was like that until my TV volume control went all weird and started skipping numbers, though I still prefer it at a multiple of five myself. Nothing like random happenings to break a compulsion (which is never going to happen with my money compulsion, ever).

Some days I'm really anal about it, and some days I don't care. But I think it's particularly hard to deal with when it's committed to writing -- writing that's passed along countless, no less.

I'm usually a bright colors kind of person, so I'm not sure why this one appeal to me as much as it does. Oh, wait, maybe it's because it's pretty Nino jumping into the air~

Ah, that makes sense. When it comes to writing, if it's terrible, I actually do get annoyed. Oooh, there is this one book I have, where I don't think they did proper checking on it, so there's a bunch of errors, and I'm tempted to re-read it with a red pen.

Ah, it is a pretty Nino. For me, my eyes can't take particularly bright colours, or I get all @_@ from it, plus I'm fond of dark colours.

'someone' is singular because it can only mean one person, but 'anyone' is kind of nonspecific and broad and all-encompassing, so i don't think it can really count? IDK. it's like. you'd say 'anyone is' not 'anyone are' but when you say anyone you don't mean one person, you kind of really mean everyone. so isn't it more like a collective noun? FFF IDK, I'VE NEVER REALLY PAID ATTENTION. but then again 'their' is always kind of grammatically incorrect lmao, because people just don't want to say 'he or she' the entire time. it's rarely used correctly but it's just one of those that english speakers are like, fuck that, to. /tl;dr

All nonspecific pronouns are singular! :D Anyone/body, everyone/body, one/none/no one/nobody... they're singular. You hit the nail on the head, I think -- we're all too lazy to use "his/her", so we ("we" as in the world's English-speaking population) have turned into a culture that has adopted the incorrect use of "their" when really we should be using singular pronouns.

Anyway, hahaha there's clearly something wrong with me, but I love you for recognizing that 95% of English speakers are bad at English. :Db

UGH WRITING. It's hard for me to feel good about my writing when I kind of crank out stuff I'm somehow unsatisfied with (uninteresting story, awkward and sloppy prose, etc. etc. etc.) and then I read something by someone else and I'm so floored by how beautiful it is to me and I retreat into my shell of "I can never write like that". D: And I know it's silly because the only way I'm going to get there is by practicing and learning to be comfortable with words (words, our dear friends), but I still just have this notion that it's not possible for me to write the way I want to, or the way that moves me like my favorite authors move me. Because I'm arrogant and too full of myself and I need to be the best!! at everything I do, and it hurts when I'm not.

oh inez. inez, inez, inez (HI, COOL NAME). man really, english just doesn't actually make any sense sometimes. oh well I HAVE TIME TO LEARN / WAS ONLY BORN IN THE 90s / LA LA LA. english is just one of the most ridiculous languages with so many rules and exceptions and things that don't even follow anything, even just in the way we spell, and i am so glad i'm a native english speaker and i didn't have to learn this monster as a second language. thank you, fate.

i don't think i've read anything you've written before (would/should i have?) but i somehow find it difficult to believe you'd be bad at it, considering generally how much control you have over the english language. but idk. lol i just find that because i don't read so much, i forget for a bit, and then after i've written and i go see something amazing i'm like OH GOD T_T but then i can't go back anyway, ooops. but honestly? just keep at it, and as long as you can get past the thought that others are better than you, you'll be able to write more, read and thus learn more, and then be even mooore fabulous.

YES PROGRAM ICONS NEED TO BE IN A CERTAIN ORDER. ALWAYS.

I was so happy that with Windows 7 you can move the icons around the taskbar. Not so lucky at work of course. Still using Vista (which was JUST upgraded from Windows 2003). I usually have about 8 windows open and if I accidentally close one that's on the very left, I would have to close everything and open them all again to get them in the correct order. And some of the programs take +5 minutes to open -.-

I put that in my timesheet as "15 minutes - issue with computer" XP
