I typically comment lock when I don't want to make people feel like they're forced to say something, or when I'm just saying stuff to let it out and I don't really expect anyone to have a response. But at least for me, I always appreciate knowing that people are thinking of me, even if that's all they say, or even if they don't say anything at all.
