I mean, it's not even my fault! Well, okay, maybe it's entirely my fault that I can't wake up to my alarm clock anymore, but listen to my side of the story first:

I have a history test Friday. I was studying for it till about midnight-ish while I was sending Ilse something over AIM (it didn't go through, which means I still have to keep it on my computer... ~_~). Yes, I had watched some episodes of My HiME (and I'm impatiently waiting for episode 21 to air and be translated), but rest assured, I did do some studying. So yes, I decided around midnight that it was time for bed, so I set my alarm clock to 5 AMish so that I could take care of some homework I was sure I'd forgotten.

So yeah, I wake up this morning, no thanks to my alarm clock, and squint up at the clock. 6:30. Good, I think to myself, I still have time to wash my hair and flip it out for Beth before we have to get to school for String Ensemble. As I'm in the bathroom, soaking my hair, I hear the garage door open and close and figure, Oh, Diki must be getting something from Meijer before school. I wonder what he needs. About five minutes later, I hear the phone ring and pick it up, thinking it's Alan trying to weasel out of String Ensemble again. To my horror, it's my brother, with random voices in the background, telling me, "Just stay home today." I give him a Suhardjo "WHAT?!" and look up at the clock, ready to huff and puff and explain that it's only... WTF, 7:40?!

In summary, I misread the clock the first time. I called my dad about it and he got all annoyed. I tried to explain to him that I was studying into the wee hours of the morning, but of course he didn't believe me. He told me to get some sleep, practice, and studying for the SAT, which I'm taking I think a week from Saturday.

What's ridiculous is that there was one day this week or last when I was up until 4:30 watching anime and I was still able to wake up in time for school after a 2-hour nap. Man, I'm so messed up. ~_~

And the worst part of it all is that I can't decide whether to use the past tense or the historical present tense in narrating the story. ><

Well, as for the rest of the day, I've actually read some stuff about the SAT. I mean, I'd already known everything they'd had to say, but still... And I found a ridiculously good CD of piano-clarinet-cello trios while trying to find some easy listening as background music for my "read some stuff about the SAT" session. Classical music is conducive to learning stuff you already know, after all.

majyck.

I used the phrase "soaking my hair" for a reason. I take showers at night, so today I was dunking my head in a sinkful of water.
