Nov. 5th, 2005 15:05So apparently they have these new weapons out. They're full-sized "lightsabers" ($100 plexiglass/plastic/whatever things with an electronic handle). You flip a switch and the light inside the plexiglass comes on (and the whole thing makes the authentic bzzz lightsaber noise). XD What's even awesomer is that, when you hit it hard enough against something, it makes the "ptewwzzt" noise that lightsabers make when they come in contact with each other. XDD My brother was showing me a display model they have out at the Borders here ("here" as in "Purdue"), and every time he got the thing to make the ptewwzzt noise by hitting it against my arm, he let out a triumphant/haughty "YES" (you may have heard me say it myself; I can guarantee that half my Nezisms are just transformed Dikiisms). Ah, it's fun to have such a goofy brother, though sometimes you feel as if you're getting stupider when you hang out with him too much. ^^;;
And a little som'in-som'in (how do you spell that?!) from ANN...
Not So Daily Link of the Day (2005-11-03 22:53:07)
A few years back we had a good laugh when a reader sent in an e-mail about how cool it was that a contestant on American Idol actually chose to sing an anime theme song in his audition... the song was "Fly Me to the Moon." For those that don't know, although it was used as a theme for Evangelion, Fly Me to the Moon was actually one of Frank Sinatra's most famous songs. Today however we have a link to a video from the third episode of Nouvelle Star 2005, a French show similar to American Idol, where a contestant actually does sing an anime theme song. The song? "Pegasus Fantasy" from Saint Seiya. Thanks to ParaParaJMo and Steven for this item.
Oh, I am highly amused.
