So yeah, mommy's going to be freaking pissed when she finds out I spent over $100 just 30 minutes after receiving payment for our last wedding... ~_~;;
At Borders (Caitlin saw me there and made fun of me... -_-), I got D.N.Angel 3 ($10), X/1999 8 ($10, and no, I don't have 2-7, but 8 happens to have some of my favorite shounen-ai scenes (take a wild guess at who's in them), so I decided to pick it up, since I've already gotten farther than that in the storyline anyway), and Full Metal Panic! 5 ($10). I also got Tsubasa 1 for my brother ($0... I was taking full advantage of the 4 for 3 sale and a 10%-off coupon I have), as well as Tess of the d'Urbervilles ($5), since my brother wanted it for the book club. In return, my brother used a 20%-off one book coupon (which, by the way, was mine to begin with) to buy Steinbeck's East of Eden for me (Claire, between the two of us, we have The Red Pony, Of Mice and Men, Grapes of Wrath, The Pearl, and East of Eden... and whatever else you might have in thatlibrary house of yours ^^).
Then, of course, we had to go to Media Play (where I broke my pretty little Franklin... ;_; ). I got Imadoki! 2 ($10... I was looking for it at Borders, but they didn't have it) and the Outlaw Star Perfect Collection - all twenty-six episodes on six DVDs (in three DVD cases) for the price of $54.99... value shopping, yo. And I finally get to see Melfina without her infamous swimsuit and Jim with actual blood on his hand. >.<
But yeah, total that together, and I spent something like $101.12... I was so lucky that my mom was at a business seminar when I got home (and my dad didn't think to ask about the bags I had in my hands), but she'll find out eventually, and yeah, she'll probably give me a lecture about how spending so much money at once won't let me do something cool like go on a trip to Europe with my friends... and she'll tell me to get a less expensive hobby and to stop buying stuff or something.
And I'll have no choice but to listen, because I want to go to Japan after I graduate. ~_~;;
So yeah, the Gravi DVDs (3 comes out on the 28th, and I still haven't gotten 2), Eva Platinum DVD 2, and Fushigi Yuugi DVD 2 will have to wait at least until October... I can probably coax Gravi DVD 4 (release date is three days before my three days before my birthday) out of someone, and Get Backers will just have to go on the back burners (like Infinite Ryvius... holy crap, I still haven't gotten the rest of that series yet).
OFFICIAL BUYING SCHEDULE [2004.09.20]
Anime:
Eva Platinum
Gravitation
Fushigi Yuugi
Manga:
Kare Kano
Gravitation
D.N.Angel
Imadoki!
Not too different from a month or so ago, but this has to be set in stone. Luckily, all the Gravi DVDs will be out by the time my birthday comes, and Eva Platinum and Fushigi Yuugi probably come out bimonthly, so all I'll have to worry about are the manga, which are less expensive anyway. I hate it how three out of four of them come out during the same months, though. But Imadoki! is only five volumes long, so that'll finish pretty soon.
After two of the DVD series finish, I think I can start buying Infinite Ryvius and Get Backers... that'll probably be a year from now anyway.
That's the game plan. *nods* I apologize to anyone who doesn't really care about any of this... I'm writing it down mostly for my own benefit anyway...
DAMMIT I WISH THIS STUPID COLD WOULD GO AWAY.
Off to go do my homework now! ^^
