May. 14th, 2006 19:57It's Mother's Day, spelled M-O-T-H-E-R-apostrophe-S, even though that makes no sense because it's for all mothers, not just one specific mother[ ].
My mother and I are speaking to each other again. Civilly, even.
I'm going to Haverford, and my parents are fine with that decision. They're even going to pay for it, even though it's a stretch financially. I wonder if it has anything to do with the seven-page letter I wrote to them detailing the reasons I chose Haverford over Notre Dame. Whatever the case, I got in, I'm going, and my family is happy for me.
