Saturday
Events: Driving. :/ I told my dad that I should drive so that he can take a break, but he wouldn't let me. ^^;; Total driving time was about 12 hours, though we did take breaks in between. I'd say the drive is 11 hours. MapQuest says 10.5, but what do they know?
Food:
B - McDonald's (sausage biscuit with egg)
L - Perkins (some breakfasty food)
D - some small soup cafe (soup)
Sunday
Events: I was a bit sick, but we did a couple of cute little historic Philadelphia things. Nothing special. :D
Food:
B - hotel continental breakfast
L - Geno's and/vs. Pat's (famous steak/cheese sub sandwiches)
D - tasteless noodles at some Vietnamese restaurant
Monday
Events: Big ol' Haverford visit. Information meeting about stuff we didn't have to worry about, campus tour, etc. I learned a lot more this time than I did last time, but I think that's because it was just Bernie and Claire and me, so that tour was even more casual than tours normally are. Also, my parents are thoroughly convinced that Haverford is the abso-fricking-lutely perfect place for me. Yay. :D
Food:
B - hotel continental breakfast
L - Haverford lunch in the Dining Center
D - SUSHIIII
Tuesday
Events: Hyoutei at the zoo (see next section for details), art museum visit like all the other creepy "OMG Rocky!" tourists, movie (Step Up with that really attractive guy from She's the Man and that one girl I don't know). One of the water mains broke in King of Prussia (the city/town/whatever we were staying in), so that was a bit odd. No water for a while. ^^;; But eh.
Food:
B - hotel continental breakfast
L - DIM SUMMMM
D - half a crock of chili at a local restaurant
HYOUTEI AT THE PHILADELPHIA ZOO?!
So here's the only reason anyone on a certain portion of my f-list would have clicked on that lj-cut... Hyoutei at the zoo! And I swear, it's really them!

I originally thought that this might have been the Hyoutei OT3, but then I realized that I didn't know what the Hyoutei OT3 is. ToriShishiAto? Silver Trio? Cuddling-in-bed myu boys? O_O Doesn't matter, though, because they all interfere with my OTP, so whatever. I figured I'd just let TezuFujiRyo do what they want.

First Hyoutei members I spotted were Atobe and Kabaji! Kabaji's so dedicated. ♥

Then I tottered along and noticed Taki. He was cool and casual, doing his own thing and just being himself even though he was kicked off the regulars. Now that's a fine chap!

Gakuto was doing his own thing, too, but unfortunately, that involves much backbending, upside-down acrobatics. Underwater. Oshitari is very happy about it.

Speak of the devil! There sat Oshitari, pretty and perfect and tensai-y. He didn't even care that I was three feet away... he was poised and battle-ready and everything.

Hiyoshi was easy to spot. He looked very, very proud, and he sat on a big rockbecause he's compensating for something, very much a gekokujou man.

Jiroh was just... adorable. I mean, there's no other way to say it.

And it was pretty easy to spot Ohtori and Shishido at their favorite fast food joint, where they always get together after practice to, uh, share a burger (with tongue).

Even Kantoku was there! Not really sure what he's doing, but then, he's always been the shadiest person on the team. But he's proud of his regulars nonetheless. I think.

The poor sub-regulars were left in the dust, though, sitting in a flock, preening and waiting for their own chance for Hyoutei regular stardom!
And, completely unrelated to Hyoutei, I saw

Hollow Ichigo! OMG! </um, spoilers? Haha...>
But yeah. Lame vacation report, right? ^^;; And y'all know that just because I'm on anime hiatus, it doesn't mean I'll stop talking about it. :D Mother saw that I brought my Kamakari photobook (and photosets) and my pretty wallscrolls. It's who I am, you know. Even if I can't watch/read/write it, I'll still think/talk about it. She'll just have to deal.
Eh, I need a Tenipuri wallscroll. And a mousepad. I can't believe I forgot to bring one. ><
I'm all moved in and stuff. The rooms here are pretty big. :D It actually didn't take too long, but when you're sitting on your butt and watching your mother do all the work, well, nothing takes too long.
There's much catching up to be had. It'll take a while, but Customs (freshman orientation) starts at 4:00, so I doubt I'll have a chance to breathe until late tonight. I will catch up, though, so don't worry. Your daily lives and bitchrants are important to me.
Oh, and I got some pretty things in my college mailbox today. I told my mom that I'd be selling some things that I bought during the summer, but I hope my mom wasn't expecting me to sell those, 'cause yeah. Ain't happening. :D I think I might scan the big-pretty one later, if anyone wants it (I know someone already shared pictures of it, but have proper scans been shared?). It's so fscking kira-kira, I can't even begin to explain it.
P.S. This song? My ears = dead. OMG.

Date: 2006-08-31 11:06 (UTC)But zoos actually treat animals pretty frickin' well, as far as I can tell. And they make for interesting fangirling sessions, to say the least. XD

Date: 2006-08-31 11:10 (UTC)OMG, so pretty. The photobook isn't even kira-kira like I first explained it to be. It's, like, kira-kira-fuwa-fuwa-ja~n.
