Isaac // Tanemura Arina

ltgmarsThis afternoon I dropped Isaac off at the airport after his glorious week-long visit to Haverford. He should be just off the plane in Chicago, where he'll be picked up and taken by his grandparents to their house in Valpo.
We had a fun week. We read some Animorphs and watched movies (and Prince of Tennis with Isaac's college roommate and best friend via Skype) and went on a nice outing into Philly for a day, where we ate delicious food and got rained on.
The next time I'll see him is probably a year from now, once I've saved up the money to visit him in Japan. It'll be a nice break in the middle of his two years far, far away from me.
Aside from that, Tanemura Arina owns my soul. Here you can see my almost-complete collection of her printed works (in Japanese). Not pictured are the Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne artbook (which I have packed away somewhere else right now), and Shinshi Doumei Cross 11 (which hasn't been published yet). I suppose I'll keep up with more artbooks and new series (Mistress Fortune looks cute so far; her usual magical fare) as they come out.
The pretty six in the bottom left-hand corner are the Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne kanzenban, which are beautiful and printed on super-deluxe-ridiculously-high-quality-paper and have color chapter title pages and stuff. It's really nice that KKJ has a kanzenban version, because it's one of my favorite manga series, so I get to caress my ego by reading the special edition.
The second artbook on the bottom right is the new Shinshi Doumei Cross artbook. It came out sometime last month. It's gorgeous. I've scanned one of my favorite images:
Anyway, that's all that's been happening, really. Still rereading Animorphs... I think I'm going to dive into that and then grab some dinner.

Also, I agree, Mistress Fortune is quite cute so far. I'm loving the pervy male lead, ha ha.

ALSO just about every morning some guy gets out of the same train car I'm getting into as I start my commute. He looks like Isaac's much less cute brother. Every. Freaking. Time. I have to look twice. I think he's starting to think I have a sort of weird crush on him.
