The night before and morning that all of my finals were due, I knocked out 26 pages (10 pages for my Haverhistory paper, 16 to add onto my thesis draft). I'm still not quite used to the idea of not having something to do (not having to feel guilty about not doing whatever it is that I have to do), but it's been a lazy couple of days. Wonderful, to say the least.
Drove home on Saturday with William. We spent a ridiculous amount of time on the road in Pennsylvania, driving slowly through the snowstorm, but once we got to Ohio and Indiana, we were basically in the clear.
Home's home. My family invested in a ridiculous new television, which is big and shiny, I guess. And now we apparently use a PS3 to play DVDs (but I looked it up and it still can't play multi-region DVDs, so what use do I have for it?). So excessive, but whatevs.
Oh my goodness, a television contest show about a cappella? I wish I'd known about this sooner. But at least I'm here for the finale. It's basically the best thing ever, even though I'm still hurtin' over Nick Lachey's and Jessica Simpson's divorce.
In a classically klutzy Inez moment, I was hopping down the stairs, and I bumped my elbow against the rail. I howled in pain the rest of the way down to the bottom of the stairs, where in my panicked wailing I succeeded in slamming my head against the door. Five minutes later, my mother stopped laughing.

your nino moodtheme icon, though, is a little unsettling. he looks murderous, not 'peaceful'. 'why these crackas put my yella ass out in the snow? sheeeit.'

IT IS PRICELESS how UNIMPRESSED they are with the guests.
ohno: (ickle mouth twitch, impassive)
nino: (looks at camera) for real?

Date: 2009-12-22 11:49 (UTC)I come from a long line of people with thick skulls, so my head's fine, but there's actually a little tension when I try to straighten my elbow. But at least injury I got from when I accidentally punched myself in the eye when I was trying to move my backpack (I'm truly graceful, I know; it's okay if you're jealous) isn't bruising.

i am watching 'katagoshi no koibito'; only two episodes in, and it's kind of a ~*~mature ladies drama~*~ but it's clever and slick and intelligent. jun plays ryo, a gay bookstore owner, and a lot of the scenes take place in this gay bar (um, the bartender is such a stereotype, but he also is a military enthusiast apparently? he's adorable.)
oh man, best dialogue exchange ever, between ryo and the female lead:
(flirty) are you sure you're gay, ryo-chan?
yes.
are you . . . bisexual, maybe?
go away.
hearing jun say that - well. well - my soul is at peace, lord jesus. take me home.
