I EAT WHEN I AM LONELY.
Happy new year, all! Random stuff ahoy~.
That one meme, with the first sentence from each month:
January 2009: kenken? kenken... kenken! roar!!
February 2009: Some time ago I commissioned a knitted hat from
kimby77. [f-locked]
March 2009: i.e., video spam. Forgive me.
April 2009: "Your item was delivered at 9:04 AM on April 3, 2009 in HAVERFORD, PA 19041."
May 2009: I have 4/10 things on tonight's checklist finished.
June 2009: (Warning: Even more esoteric than Arashi, though maybe not to certain people on my f-list.)
July 2009: Here we go. [Arashi filter]
August 2009: Starring KenKen, Kanesaki Kentarou, Miyano Mamoru, and Kawai Ryuunosuke. [f-locked]
September 2009: KenKen was featured as the Cast Prix personality for one of their special included-with-the-magazine DVDs, so I got my hands on it, and it's literally, literally the best thing ever. [f-locked]
October 2009: Haven't posted to this filter lately. [Arashi filter]
November 2009: Lately I've been trying to "dress up", as in not look like the frumpy college student that I am.
December 2009: (This involves a sizable amount of A*ashi talk, unfortunately, but it's not specifically about them, really. Almost. Kind of.)
I am... unsatisfied with these results. Therefore, I'm making a concerted effort this year to make my first-of-the-month first sentences really interesting. Ohgodohgod, next year's first-sentence meme is going to be the best ever.
"2010" is not as fun to write (hand- or type-written) as "2009", I'm sorry to say.
Resolutions?
Can't really say that I do the whole "resolutions" thing (one day it's 2009, the next it's 2010... just another day, you know; and besides, the calendar in my mind will forever start in August and end in July), but a couple of things I'm going to try to keep in mind:
1. Don't slouch. You're going to turn into Nino.
1a. ... it's okay if you want to slouch. ♥
2. Exercise daily.
3. Read for fun, at least an hour a day.
4. Don't just sleep away your free time. Practice violin, study languages.
5. Stop snacking when you're not hungry. (Stop being hungry?)
6. Cut back on miscellaneous unnecessary expenditures. (Like Starbucks, ohgod I'll miss you.)
7. Keep in better touch with friends. (The best kind of touch is the personal one, after all.)
Here's to a happy 2010, everyone. ♥

Date: 2010-01-05 05:05 (UTC)I did #6 all through last year with some fail here and there :p It's pretty amazing how staying home on the weekends made a HUGE difference.
I uhh... don't really get the meme? =3
Happy New Year and I wish you the motivation and will power to stick with your *sort of* resolutions! :))

Date: 2010-01-05 16:15 (UTC)Miscellaneous unnecessary expenditures are what get me in the red all the time. (And I love how things like Arashi DVDs and the magazine More, in which there are only 2 pages of Nino each issue and for which I spend about $40 a month, don't count as unnecessary expenditures.)
Ahaha, the meme doesn't really have a point. Just write the first sentence from each month of the past year to see what comes up. Mine is split between Arashi and Kamakari Kenta, and that's the way I like it.
Happy new year!
