Since I increased my f-list by more than an eighth in one go (hello, new friends!), I figured now was as a good time as any to do another fun facts post!

1. I clean shiny surfaces obsessively. I can't stand seeing smudges on things, so at least once a day (more if I'm actively looking at the smudge), I'll sit down and clean easily smudged surfaces. For things like my DS (Nino) and my phone (has no name), I usually just use my shirt, but for my laptop (Harrison), since I don't have a soft cloth for him (yet), I've been grabbing one of my stuffed animals and rubbing its furriest parts against him. It's surprisingly effective.

2. I hate spicy food. Hate it. I know that makes me a bad Indonesian (ahaha, at a recent Indonesian potluck, one of the "appetizers" was a dish full of whole hot peppers; oh, these kids), but whatever. At least I'm not in pain when I'm eating.

3. I sort e-mail messages like a BAMF. In my Haverford e-mail account, I have 91 custom folders (general e-mails by year, class e-mails by semester + one for my major + one for backup files I send to myself + one for PE, extra curriculars by club, etc.). The 6 messages in my inbox are things I need to respond to.

4. I write it "f-list", because I say it separately as "eff-list" and not as the single-syllable "flist". Is that normal, or do most people say "flist"?

5. IT'S NINO DAY IN SEVERAL DAYS (shut up, this is totally about me okay). Don't worry, f-list, this year, Nino 37 Hours will be filtered, so the majority of you who don't care won't be spammed. New friends, you came at a really strange time, because I'm usually not this obnoxious, but I will be on the 17th, for 37 hours. Look forward to it.

... I didn't have a lot of real fun facts this time. I think my most fun fun facts (anal completist, afraid of the dark, pop makes me cry, unwrap straw wrappers by ripping around the side instead of poking through the top) have already been used up in previous listings.

Harrison is the name of one of my best friends in college. I posted earlier asking for name suggestions for my incoming laptop, and since he stalks my LJ, he IMed me and told me to name it after him, so I did. XD

TOO BAD YOU'RE MISSING THE FUN. It's not that exciting anyway. But I love going through all of the massive picspams people do for Nino Day. (And, well, for the rest of the Days, I guess.)

THE LATEST SHIYAGARE WAS CUTE. I really like this show, seriously. It's good Japanese practice, too.

I think everyone says eff-list, or I hope they do. Flist sounds too much like cyst so it freaks me out... there's your random fact about me, freaked out by cysts... and I hate spicy food and I can't even eat it but I'm addicted to jalepenos. They're hot not spicy, it's different right?

Why 37 hours? And I'm totally okay with Nino because obviously I only know you as Nino and ironically I'm Nino in a different RP and really aren't we all Nino?

"Aren't we all Nino?" Haha, that's so poetic. And it's 37 hours because I start when it hits 6/17 in Japan and finish when it hits 6/18 in my timezone. Since I'm 13 hours behind Japan, it makes is 37 hours of 6/17.

i also don't like spicy food. well i can eat it if it's cooked, but i don't like the smell of sambal/chili
it's worse if you live in indonesia, you've to explain to everyone. "no, don't put chili in my food. no, i don't eat chili. i don't like the smell. umm, could you please remove the chili?" etc...

Ahhhh, I can imagine that. When I visited my grandmother (my entire family still lives there except for my nuclear family here), spiciness was standard. I think I had to grin and bear it for two weeks, and it was awful, heh.

That's what confuses me. Because whenever I see "flist", I read it as "flist" and not as "f-list", and I always have to stop and ask, "What's a flist? Oh." XD

DS just begs to be called Nino, doesn't it. Or Kazu, perhaps Kazu? My Kamera is the only unanimated thing I've named so far (AG, it's a long story but those letters refer to Nino) but I think this phone's getting a name too.

I tend to go organize-happy with files too. Occasionally.

I write flist, but "eff-list" is how I say it. XD

Children's books! I don't collect them, per se (well, I used to collect Newbery award winners), but I have a bunch sitting on my bookshelf, since my parents were nice enough to buy me a ton of books when I was younger.

1. I used to be like that with my cellphone, until I got the protective cover. And my laptop is textured, so no smudge q;

2. SAME HERE!! Haha, I don't eat spicy food at all. I really don't get WHY people would eat spicy food in the first place. Same reason why I don't drink soda. Both hurt my tongue.

1. I don't like having protective covers on my things. I like the shininess. It just gets to be high-maintenance sometimes, haha.

2. We are... ahahaha, we are totally the same person. I know we've had "WE'RE THE SAME" conversations dozens of times, but hahaha it's so funny how alike we are in some ways.

5. Because 6/17 in Japan happens 13 hours before 6/17 in my timezone, so to encapsulate the entire experience of 6/17, I do the 24 hours in Japan + 13 leftover hours on my end = 37 hours. Also, I'm unhinged.

I am the exact same way about my phone and iPod. I love the iTouch but I hate how smudging is inevitable. And the reason I got a white computer too is because you can't see the smudges on them as much as on the shiny black ones. XD

I also say eff-list but I still write it mostly flist. My fingers are too lazy to go over to the dash every time.

Shiny things are so nice when they're shiny, but definitely, the maintenance is key. Every time I close my laptop and I see the smudges, I turn my head away in shame.

Shiny surfaces deserve to shine splendedly. I agree though, stuffed toys are wonderful for cleaning computers and such. I have a fish beanie baby that I use for my computer myself.

D: But spicy food is so good, and the pain isn't so bad... Though, if you don't like spicy food, I suppose that's just how you are ♥.

:O I only do that with my computer files. My files are more organized than anything else I own, which is kind of sad.

I say friends list, no matter how I read it. I'm actually that way with all shortened forms, so something can be shortened to death and I'll say it the long way, no matter.

I shall give you one random fact about me in return: I have a bad habit of teaching myself random things that I don't really need to have as a skill. Example: I memorized the instructions to figuring out a 3x3 rubik cube.
