So with all the heavy, poetic, lyrical posts floating around, I figured I'd hit you with something light.

1. Got into a car accident today. ~_~ Long story short, I was lost on the way home from Margaret's graduation party, and being unfamiliar with the area, I went ahead (after stopping accordingly) through a four-way stop area that wasn't actually a four-way stop area. (I hate it when I'm stupid enough to assume.) Well, anyway, I was going south through the intersection, and a car coming east hit me and stopped short in the intersection; I careened toward the south-east corner of the intersection and hit a telephone pole a foot or two in front of the driver-side side mirror. I came out all right, a bit scratched up just below the right wrist and severely bruised on the left knee but otherwise fine, and very fortunately, the people in the other car were all right (their airbags deployed, so they went to the hospital to get looked at 'cause they felt some discomfort). They were on their way to a waterpark, though, so I feel a bit guilty for ruining their weekend, especially since they're relatively new to the area (moved here just two months ago). I cried profusely, apologized profusely (few things have made me feel this "crappy human being"y), and thanked profusely, and the others were all good sports about it, so considering everything that could have gone worse that didn't (i.e. a few people told me that I could have gotten really hurt if the pole were any closer to the driver's seat), I say, "Good accident."

So yeah, the car's a wreck, meaning we're back to one car (and I think my insurance is going waaaaay up), but I was able to salvage my CD player and the NERV decal I got in Evangelion DVD 1, so that made me feel better.

And I apologize post-accident to anyone reading this who's been involved in an accident or who's experienced some great loss because of an accident. I know I'm terribly insensitive sometimes, and I suppose saying something like "good accident" doesn't help, but I can verifiably say that I can begin to understand, at least a little bit, what you've had to go through.

1A. Funny anecdote from Margaret's graduation party: D-Ray called me on my cell phone while I was sitting at a table talking with Mr. DP and Sam T., so I picked up, and he kept saying "hi" cryptically, to which I would return, "Hi...". Several "hi"s later, Mr. DP pointed out that D-Ray was just a table away, so I yelled "I HATE YOU" in his smirking direction and had an entire other table of nice, elderly, Margaret-loving people turn and look at me terrifiedly. >< Neehar laughed a bit at that.

2. So I was watching some Sailor Moon today, and I decided that my favorite transformation sequence is Sailor Neptune's. Besides the fact that they don't sing "Seera [insert planet name]" obnoxiously like they do for the Inner Senshi, the sequence also involves the cool traced circle thing that the Outer Senshi get and water, so it's like "yay". Obviously I like Mars' sequence, since Mars was always my favorite senshi (note the screenname) and it has to do with fire, but Michiru's a violinist, so I think Neptune wins.

2A. There was a scene where Anonymous Kid 1 was hunched against a wall, going, "Tasukete... tasukete...!" ("Help me... help me...!"), and then a demon randomly burst from his body. All I could think at that moment was, "Wow, that sucks."

All right, I think I'm either going to go back to watching Sailor Moon or retrying my hand at Elfen Lied, which I'd sort of given up for (for my own sanity) back when it was still airing. Oh, how diverse I am. ~_~

Sorry to hear about the accident. I was in one this year, and have been in 5 in my entire life. No injuries on me or people I was riding with, thank goodness.

I have not watched Sailor Moon since 2000, believe it or not.
