ltgmarsFinished the Kantou Tournament Seigaku/Hyotei match today (which finishes at episode 68)... yeah, only 110 episodes to go, right?
POT is so~ addictive.
But yeah, before the sinful-for-various-reasons (>_>), four-episode Tezuka/Atobe match, there was episode 64, the first (super-hilarious) SD episode. I decided to make a new icon from it (chibi Tezuka, hanya~n) and base my LJ color scheme around it.
Heh, I used to be afraid of the color orange. >_>
And now for some Tenipuri screenshot spam... (spoilers up to episode 68)
I actually took more than this, but these are just the ones that I found especially awesome/wah!!. ^^
One of the many points in the episode where I had to pause the video because I was laughing so hard. [64]
Okay, quick interlude, because I really have to explain this. >< Inui, one of the Regulars, who was basically the team trainer when he was knocked out of the Regular lineup by Ryoma (he came back by beating Momo), makes this near-poisonous "Inui Juice" that he threatens the Regulars with so that they'll work hard and train and whatnot. In the third segment of episode 64 (it was broken up into three mini-episodes), Inui has Ryoma drink "Inui Hyper Remix Juice", and he gets all pumped up. Fuji (the only person other than Inui who doesn't mind the juice) has a sip, and he gets all pumped up, too. So Ryoma and Fuji continue a match that they left unfinished dozens of episodes back (it was a practice match they had in the rain before the regional tournament(?); it was ve~ry pretty...). Fuji beats Ryoma easily with his Tsubame Gaeshi, and Ryoma is left on his hands and knees, saying through tears, "Mada mada dane..." (his catch phrase), before saying it again ("Mada mada dane!") and running off the court crying. (This, of course, made me love Minagawa Junko that much more... she does a great crying "mada mada dane"; had to pause and wait for my laughter to subside.) XD So yeah, the next day, everyone drinks the Inui Hyper Remix Juice, and they all get really pumped up about watching Ryoma and Fuji continue their match (they're still pumped up because of the juice from the day before). Ryoma wins (and at this point, they go back to Eiji, Oishi, and Taka-san watching on the sidelines; another scene where I have to pause the video from laughing because Eiji says "Ochibi!" (his nickname for Ryoma) but holds it for a really long time while Oishi and Taka-san talk about Ryoma's finishing move), and they're all congratulatory and stuff, but Momo mentions that they got to see Ryoma cry, and he gets all upset and runs away. Oishi, Eiji, and Taka-san mention Ryoma's running away, and then Kaidoh pops up, all moved and stuff, and says the line about running toward the setting sun.
Hehehehehe, I love this series. >< And now onto the (relatively) serious screenshots...
Thus begins a great match between pretty, pretty tennis boys! Tezuka (<33333)... [65]
... and Atobe (oh, what a shmexy voice)! [65]
This is actually based on a serious scenario (the strenuous match was basically destroying Tezuka's arm), but ahahaha~... [66]
After their match ends. Tezuka loses, but they're all gracious and shippy anyway. [68]
