I don't really remember, but the bromides definitely solidified my love for them... the festival bromide, with Ohtori draping his cape over Shishido's shoulder, and Shishido holding up the ace of fscking hearts?? Yeah, try disputing that one...
３．あなたのテニプリにおける鳳宍の割合は？ (What percentage of your Tenipuri fandom is ToriShishi?)
Eh... 80%? There are a bunch of other pairings that I like, but I'd say that my interest in other pairings (and gen fiction, which I really like in series like Tenipuri) has dropped off as of late. I need to get back to reading non-Hyoutei stuff... ><
４．鳳宍のイメージソングってある？ (Is there a ToriShishi image song?)
You mean besides the two duets they sing together? Or Shishido's album, which is about 75% "take me now, Choutarou"? Hahahaha, how about Nat King Cole's "LOVE"? Though that's just for them when it's the two of them being rabu-rabu. Otherwise, they're probably something by Linkin Park, because they're loud and tough and they have their problems, but they get by without cussing. *fails*
５．鳳君のどんなところが好き？ (What do you like about Ohtori-kun?)
He's a lot tougher than people give him credit for, and I guess being dismissed as a "nice guy" is kind of a strength, because then you can pwn them whenever you feel like it. Also, he plays the violin, which just killed me with awesome when I first found out.
６．宍戸君のどんなところが好き？ (What do you like about Shishido-kun?)
He's... I dunno. He's spazzy. AND KUSUDA IS SUCH A DORK.
７．鳳宍のどんなところが好き？ (What do you like about ToriShishi?)
Uwaaaaaaaaaa, the fuzz. The canonness. The partnership. The fact that they're not pushovers, that they've been through a heck of a lot, and their strength as a team shows their dedication and determination as well as dependence and trust. And the fuzz.
８．ラヴラヴな二人…どちらのほうが想いは強い？ (The RABU-RABU pair... which of them has stronger feelings?)
Neither. They both feel very strongly about their partners, but they show it in different ways... Ohtori sticks by Shishido and is wonderfully attached at the hip, and Shishido's kind of ridiculously clueless as to just how much he likes his doubles partner. But he's willing to do anything for him, so that's okay. :3
９．支えているのはどっち？ (Which one is more supportive?)
Same answer as before. They're both really supportive of each other, like, all the time. Offering up a regulars spot = encouraging improvement on a scary serve = wanting to surpass a partner = wanting a partner to surpass him.

〔告白〕 (Confession)
１１．相手を好きになっちゃった、先に惚れたのはどっち？ (Who was the first to fall in love?)
Shishido, except he didn't realize it until after Ohtori realized he was in love with Shishido.
１２．それはどんなシチュエーションだった？（一目惚れなど） (Which situation was it? (Was it love at first sight?))
Shishido became friends with Ohtori early during his second year, and they occasionally hung out together and did cool, manly things because they were cool and manly -- already teenagers! By the time Shishido was dropped from regulars the following year, he'd already fallen in love with Ohtori, but he was so preoccupied with his situation that he didn't realize it. It came to him one night during their training when Ohtori'd hit him with a particular bad serve... he was lying on the ground, staring up at the night sky, and as he listened to Ohtori call out to him from across the court, he realized that there wasn't anyone he would rather spend his time with. He picked himself off the ground, looked across the court at Ohtori, firmly squashed the butterflies racing through his intestines (engines full-throttle), and gave his partner an imperious "Next."
１３．恋の相談するなら誰？ (Who do they discuss love with?)
Shishido talks with Oshitari, because they're in the same class, and it's easy for him to bring it up since he knows that Oshitari hardly has any room to make fun of him. Ohtori talks to Kabaji because he's the best listener.
１４．邪魔してくる人は誰？ (Who interferes with their relationship?)
Not Atobe, because he's too busy not realizing that he's in love with Kabaji. Or Tezuka. Or both. Besides, he'd never fit into the equation. Ever.
１５．告白しました！相手の反応は？ (He confessed! How did the other person react?)
Shishido was happy. So, so, so happy. It took him some time to move, though, but when he tried to say something, nothing came out. So he blushed a bit and ran his fingers tentatively through Ohtori's hair, mumbling a quiet "idiot" because he knew that Ohtori would understand. He blushed a bit more, looked away as Ohtori looked up at him, and continued walking down the road. Ohtori was right behind him. ~>
１６．告白はいつどこでした？ (When and where was the confession?)
Ohtori was nervous. So, so, so nervous. Walking home from tennis practice one sunny afternoon shouldn't have been any different than it usually was, but he had a feeling that the cat would be clawing its way out of the bag sometime soon as more and more of his very being was overrun by Shishido. He watched his feet kick up dirt on the way to the fast food restaurant where they always had their post-practice meals. The silence was making him jittery, so he, lamely, decided to say something about the weather. But as he lifted his head to speak, he met Shishido's eyes, which showed an attentiveness that burned him to the core. It made the mundane comment that followed sound a bit too much like, "I like you." ~>

Oh God, I did not just say that! But he had, and Shishido was a testament to it. His eyes were wide, and he'd stopped in his tracks, staring unbelievingly into Ohtori's eyes. Ohtori gaze fell with his heart. His head drooped, and he closed his eyes, a quiet apology already running its way through his throat. But then blunt fingers brushed lightly through his hair, and he knew that everything would be all right.
１８．鳳君の恋のライバルは誰？ (Who's the rival for Ohtori-kun's love?)
Well, most people seem to think Hiyoshi or Taki. I dunno... Hiyoshi I can see for various reasons (not really, except for the whole second-year thing), but Taki I don't know enough about (and even if he never held a grudge for the whole Ohtori-helped-Shishido thing, it still isn't enough to make him fall in love with his former doubles partner). :/ But really, I don't think that anyone would be Shishido's rival for Ohtori's love, because they're all lovey and exclusive and stuff.
１９．宍戸君の恋のライバルは誰？ (Who's the rival for Shishido-kun's love?)
See above, replace "Hiyoshi" with "Atobe" and "Taki" with "Oshitari". Change circumstances accordingly. Then take out "Atobe" and "Oshitari" altogether, because no.
２０．宍戸君が「長太郎」って呼び始めたのはいつ？そのきっかけは？ (When did Shishido-kun start calling him "Choutarou"? What was the occasion?)
It had been sometime during their training. It just popped out like a cork from a wine bottle, and neither of them had seen it coming. Ohtori's next serve hit the net. Shishido blushed and told him to concentrate.

２１．二人一緒に登校してるのかな？また、家まで迎えにくるのはどっち？ (They go to school together, don't they? Which one picks the other one up at his house?)
Shishido comes to Ohtori's house, because Shishido doesn't like dealing with his brother in the morning, so he just leaves early.
２２．授業中、窓から外を覗くと宍戸君が！彼は一体何してた？ (During class, Ohtori-kun looks out the window and sees Shishido-kun! What is he doing?)
Looking up at Ohtori's window during a lull in PE... until he realizes that Ohtori spotted him. Then he looks away and finds a classmate to yell something random to.
２３．授業中、窓から外を覗くと鳳君が！彼は一体何してた？ (During class, Shishido-kun looks out the window and sees Ohtori-kun! What is he doing?)
Ohtori's enjoying the weather on his way back to the main building after running an errand for a teacher.
２４．休み時間、彼らって頻繁に会っていると思う？ (Do you think they meet when they have free time during school?)
They don't have a lot of free time, but when they do, they spend it together, either under a tree or on the tennis court.
２５．授業中、鳳君からメールがきた！メールの内容は？ (During class, a text message from Ohtori-kun comes! What's it about?)
Shishido-san, do you want to come over and play video games after school today?
２６．宍戸君からお返事のメールが！どんな返事だった？ (It's a reply from Shishido-kun! What does it say?)

Shishido told him not to, but Ohtori insisted. It was all right! His mother enjoyed packing cheese sandwiches, because they were so much easier to make than traditional Japanese bento meals. No, no, no one minded. And cheese sandwiches are really good, aren't they?
２８．当然一緒に食べてる？また、どこで食べてる？ (Naturally, they eat together, right? Where do they eat?)
Under a tree or on the roof or in the club room or something.
２９．昼休み、二人はなにして過ごしてる？ (What do they do during lunch?)
Shishido talks about tennis. Ohtori listens, but he tells him to shut up when he's talked too much about the other regulars. Then Ohtori talks about his family, but Shishido manages to weedle tennis back into the conversation.
３０．学園で愛の語らい…人目を忍んでどこでイチャついてる？ (Lovers talking during school... Where do they meet to hide their relationship from others?)
They don't hide their relationship. They act as they usually do, and just the Hyoutei regulars really know (because it's, well, frickin' obvious).

Ohtori, because he's so~ polite, and they're like, "Kya, what a sweetheart!", and he swallows his "You say somethin', bitch?" to respond, "Oh, that's too much!"
３２．同性にもてるのはどっち？ (Which one is popular with guys?)
Shishido, because he's loud and raucous, and he makes fun of Atobe.
３３．恋人の浮気現場を目撃！浮気していたのはどっち？ (Someone was caught cheating red-handed! Which one was unfaithful?)
Neither. But if I had to choose one, I'd say Ohtori. No, really. Because Shishido doesn't realize just how much he likes Ohtori, but that unconsciously keeps him at bay. Ohtori realizes how much he likes Shishido, but then he realizes that he's attracted physically to other fellas, and he's like, "Oh noes." But realistically, neither.
３４．その浮気相手はどんなひと？ (What kind of person was the third party?)
Again, no one would cheat, but if it's Ohtori, then... someone from his art class or something. Because he's loud and raucous, and he makes fun of the first-chair violist.
３５．そのあと二人はどうなった？ (What were the two of them doing?)
They were talking about music or watching a recording of a concert of some sort. Ohtori didn't consider it anything other than friends watching a movie together, but the other kid thought otherwise.
３６．大喧嘩！ケンカの原因って何？ (There's a big fight! What started it?)
Shishido doesn't realize that someone's making a pass at him, and he's not unfriendly enough, and Ohtori gets upset.
３７．どんなケンカが繰り広げられた？泣いちゃった？ (What kind of fight is it? Are there tears?)
They yell at each other. They don't cry, because, well, they're having a spat but they're still together, so neither of them has anything to cry about.
３８．どちらが先にどうやってあやまった？ (Who's the first to apologize?)
Shishido pulls a "You know what? I'm sorry!" but Ohtori is able to get a real apology out of him soon enough, even though he's already forgiven him.
３９．宍戸君最大のピンチ！男に押し倒されちゃった！この不届き者は誰？ (Shishido-kun's in trouble! Some guy pushed him! Who was this punk?!)
Shishido's too busy talking to Ohtori to notice that he bumped into some guy and accidentally spilled his ice cream all over the guy's shirt. So it's Shishido's fault. Or maybe Ohtori's fault... ^^;; But Shishido's apologies fall on deaf ears.
４０．その後どうなった？鳳君は助けに来てくれた？ (Then what? Does Ohtori-kun come to the rescue?)
Ohtori wants to beat the guy up, but he just semi-politely explains that it was an accident, notes that Shishido already apologized, and tells him off. Then he yanks Shishido toward him with an arm around his waist, and he drags them both off to his house to do various... things.

４１．二人でデート、どこにいく？ (Where do they go for their date?)
A movie! Action flick, naturally.
４２．鳳君の服装は？ (What's Ohtori-kun wearing?)
A checkered polo over a white t-shirt and long khaki cargos.
４３．宍戸君の服装は？ (What's Shishido-kun wearing?)
Jean shorts and a long-sleeved t-shirt with random bad English on it.
４４．手をつないだりするかな？するならどちらから？ (Do they hold hands? Who takes the initiative?)
After bumping elbows on the armrest between them for a bit, Shishido just goes for it and grabs at Ohtori's hand, but he misses and claws into his thigh instead. While Shishido's too scared to move, Ohtori goes from surprised to amused to blushingly indulgent, and he smiles as he slips his hand under Shishido's and twines their fingers together.
４５．お昼はなにを食べようか？ (What do they eat for lunch?)
Noodles. Then Ohtori drags them to a random street vendor and they buy some random sweet pastries.
４６．鳳君が女の人にナンパされちゃった！その時の宍戸君の反応は？ (A girl is flirting with Ohtori-kun! What's Shishido-kun's reaction?)
Shishido's growly, naturally, but he's also mature and patient, so he waits all of three seconds before he links arms with Ohtori and tugs him away.
４７．そして鳳君の対処は？ (And how does Ohtori-kun handle it?)
Ohtori's polite, as is wholly proper, and apologetic as he's being dragged off, hopping on one foot to barely keep his balance.
４８．デート終了、そのまま家に帰る？ (At the end of the date, do they go back to the same house?)
Shishido-kun spent so much time there that it was as if she had two little brothers. Oh yes, she was overcome with joy. But Shishido-kun was kind of cute, so she didn't really mind.
４９．二人ってどこまでいってる仲？ (How far do they go with their relationship?)
They didn't go far. They never did, really. As much as his body was telling him otherwise, Shishido knew that Ohtori was much more than just a, well, physical companion. A few open-mouthed kisses -- usually on the lips, but sometimes across the neck, whenever they were feeling ambitious -- was enough to get them both breathing too hard despite hours of tennis practice and blushing themselves permanently red. But as much as either of them wanted to continue, they wordlessly agreed that that was as far as they ever needed to go. They still had new manga to read and better video games to play, so it -- whatever "it" was -- could sit pretty on the back-burner... for now, at least.
５０．ズバリ！誘うのはどっちだ！？ (And finally! Who extended the invitation?)
Ohtori, because he knows that Shishido doesn't like being around his brother when he doesn't have to be. Shishido says that they don't get along, but Ohtori knows that Shishido just doesn't like being teased.

５１．都大会、正レギュラー３人はどうやって決まった？決まった時の宍戸君の反応は？また、鳳君の反応は？ (For the city tournament, how did the three regulars settle things? What was Shishido-kun's reaction? What was Ohtori-kun's reaction? [I think this is referring to the lineup and how Shishido was S3 against Tachibana...?])
Well, naturally, Shishido's ready and rarin' to play singles, so he illogically decides to strut his stuff first, even though it means he'll be S3. Also, he kinda knows that Atobe won't let him be S1, and he figures Kabaji doesn't care either way, so he may as well let him play S2 since he won't gloat about it.
５２．宍戸君初登場、ズバリ貴方の第一印象は？ (Honestly, what was your first impression of Shishido-kun's first appearance?)
I didn't make much note of it because I didn't know a lot about Hyoutei when they were first introduced (which, I'm assuming, is normal, and therefore forgivable).
５３．宍戸君が「ウルセーよ跡部！」といってるころ、鳳君はどこで何してた？ (When Shishido-kun said, "Shut up, Atobe!", where was Ohtori-kun, and what was he doing?)
Ohtori was on the stands with the rest of Hyoutei, watching the matches and being just a bit concerned about Hyoutei, since their doubles teams had just lost miserably. He never imagined that Shishido-senpai would suffer the same fate.
５４．不動峰の橘さんに惨敗！鳳君はこのことをどうやって知った？また反応は？ (Utter defeat at the hands of Fudomine's Tachibana-san! How did Ohtori-kun find out? What was his reaction?)
Ohtori was there watching, shocked and absolutely speechless. Hyoutei lost, sure, but more importantly, Shishido-senpai lost.
５５．橘さんに惨敗後、宍戸君は泣いちゃった？ (After losing to Tachibana-san, did Shishido-kun cry?)
Shishido wasn't crying. He never cried. He just got something stuck in his eye while he was lying in bed that night. ~>
５６．鳳君はどんな言葉をかけて慰めた？ (What did Ohtori-kun say to comfort him?)
The buzz of his cellphone offered a brief respite from his momentary eye irritation, and he flipped it open, tiredly holding the phone to his ear and waiting for whoever it was that called at fucking 11:37 at night to say something. "Sh-Shishido-senpai...? It's Ohtori Choutarou. I just... today's match... it... it's okay." ~>
５７．このころの二人ってデキていた？ (Did this result in the new pairing?)
It was more than enough. "R-Right... Thanks, Ohtori." There was just something about the other boy that soothed Shishido and saved him even from his own torment. He was just what Shishido needed. It was as if the gods had ordained Ohtori Choutarou to be just the right person to complete one Shishido Ryou. ~>
５８．愛の特訓…宍戸君が鳳君を誘った？それとも鳳君が名乗り出た？また、その時のセリフは？ (Love's special training... Did Shishido-kun call out to Ohtori-kun? Or did Ohtori-kun introduce himself? What was said then?)
He heard a long breath from the other end of the line, followed by a voice that epitomized walking on eggshells (or, more accurately, going the long way to avoid them completely). "You know, senpai, we could... play tennis together sometime. If... if you want to." And Shishido grinned. "Yeah, why not? Actually, I heard you have a really fast serve... I'd like to see it firsthand."
５９．実は長太郎ってばＳなの！？って疑った？ (Actually, Choutarou's an S?! Do you think so? [If you're confused, think BDSM.])
Ohtori hated the training. Hurting his senpai was one of the last things he'd ever wanted to do. ~>
６０．実は亮君ってばＭなの！？って疑った？ (Actually, Ryou-kun's an M?! Do you think so?)
Shishido wasn't so fond of it himself, but he pressed on, because he had a goal to accomplish and a whole new Ryou to create in the meantime. ~>
６１．サーブを打つ鳳君、彼はどんな心境だった？ (When Ohtori-kun hit his serve, what was his state of mind?)
It was a bit difficult, though, when his kouhai grimaced at the tennis ball in his hand and flinched whenever it made it across the net. "Oi, Ohtori! What are you doing?!" He watched as Ohtori frowned again (well, not again, per se... he couldn't do something again when it was already tattooed, harsh and painful and just a bit too chiseled to be comfortable, on his face). "Well, senpai..." Ohtori tossed a ball into the air and sent it shooting across the court, into Shishido's side. "I was just thinking that this is a bit reckless, but..." Another serve, this time to the chest, right above the heart. "But I admire your strength, Shishido-san."
６２．特訓してた場所ってどこ？また、何時ぐらいまでしていた？ (Where did they have their special training? About what time was it?)
They sneaked into Hyoutei to use tennis courts that they were familiar with in a place that wasn't so scary in the middle of the night. Because they're still boys, not men, no matter what they look like. It was about 9 or 10 at night.
６３．この特訓、皆には秘密にしていたと思う？どうして跡部様は特訓の内容を知っていた？ (They kept their special training a secret from everyone, don't you think? Why did Atobe-sama know about it?)
Atobe's the buchou. He keeps track of every single one of his players, so obviously when he sees Shishido getting bruises and Ohtori serving more accurately and the two of them growing closer, he figures something must be up.
６４．宍戸君の首筋の傷…これってどうやってできた傷？ (How did Shishido-kun get the scar on the back of his neck?)
He has a scar on the back of his neck? Bike accident. Or he attacked a squirrel as a child. One of the two.
６５．弱者の溜まり場に集った氷帝レギュラー達！ぶっちゃけた話、一番に惚れたのは誰？ (The Hyoutei regulars have the same weakness! To be blunt, who was the first to fall in love?)
Gakuto fell in love with Oshitari when he first met him, though he scoffs at whomever says so.
６６．「ほう」の鳳君初登場、ズバリ貴方の第一印象は？ (Honestly, what was your first impression of "firebird god" Ohtori-kun's first appearance? [I think the "firebird god" thing is just a pun on the pronunciation, since 鳳 = hou = Ohtori.])
Same as with Shishido -- I didn't know much about him, so I didn't think about him too much.
６７．レギュラー復活劇、どうして対戦相手は滝君だった？ (For the regulars comeback plan, why was Taki-kun the opponent?)
'cause Taki was a regular with a play style that's closest to Shishido's (that is, there's nothing special or outstanding about it, no special moves or techniques, just... really good tennis). All the other regulars have traits that Shishido can't emulate, so he wouldn't be able to take their spot on the team.
６８．滝君と鳳君、二人はダブルスを組んでいたと思う？ (Do you think Taki-kun and Ohtori-kun were paired up for doubles?)
I think so (Ohtori was standing next to Taki when Hyoutei was on the street tennis court, and we all know that, in Tenipuri, who you stand next to and who you talk to and who you look at and who you mention in passing and who you have the same shoes as mean everything)... is there an official take on this? O_o;;
６９．榊登場！宍戸君は監督にいただかれちゃってる？ (Sakaki appears! Did Kantoku approve of Shishido-kun?)
He thought nothing of it -- Shishido was dropped from regulars, and that was that.
７０．衝撃の断髪！実は短髪の宍戸に転んだ？ (Shocking haircut! Actually, did you fall for short-haired Shishido?)
Uh, yeah. ♥
７１．短髪と長髪どちらのほうが好き？ (Which do you like better, short-haired or long-haired Shishido?)
Short-haired!!! Because from then on, he and Ohtori are attached to each other like leeches. :3
７２．「自慢の髪だったじゃないっスか！！」宍戸君はホントに髪を自慢していた？ ("Not the hair that you're so proud of!" Was Shishido-kun really proud of his hair?)
Ideally, yes. It wouldn't have meant anything if he didn't care about it at all. So every morning, he secretly he primped and straightened and moussed it up until he could tie it into a sloppy ponytail and go for a run before showing up for tennis practice.
７３．地面に散らばった髪の毛はどうなった？ (What happened to the hair that fell to the ground?)
Ohtori took it and saved it in a jareven though that's kinda creepy. But he's keeping it so that he can give it to Shishido as a present. Really.
７４．レギュラーを譲ろうとした鳳君に対して宍戸君は何を思った？もしくは何を言った？ (What did Shishido-kun think about Ohtori-kun's offering up his regulars spot for him? Or what did he say?)
"You didn't have to do that, idiot. But thanks."
７５．『髪の短いのと長いのどっちが似合ってる？』と、聞いた！鳳君はなんて答える？ (Shishido-kun asks, "Which do you think suits me, short hair or long hair?"! What's Ohtori-kun's reply?)
"Either," was the curt reply. Shishido threw his arms up. "Don't cop out, Choutarou! Answer me honestly!" And he glared at Ohtori expectantly. But the glaring melted into a furious blush when his mind finally registered Ohtori's quiet reply. "Honestly, I really like you, and that won't change, no matter how you look... because it's you, Shishido-san."
７６．忍岳ＶＳ鳳宍戦！スコアは何対何だった？勝った時のセリフは？また、負けた忍足＆向日のセリフは？ (The OshiGaku vs. ToriShishi battle! What was the score? What did they say after they won? What did the defeated Oshitari and Mukahi say?)
Ohtori couldn't be happier. He'd just played doubles with Shishido against their tennis club's D1, and they won! Exchanging a silent glance with Shishido told him that his partner was pleased with their performance as well. And who wouldn't be? Ohtori knew that they were great friends, so it wasn't much of a shock to him when they came to understand each other almost immediately after they stepped foot on the court. But what did surprise him was that Oshitari and Mukahi didn't seem terribly bitter about the 6-3 loss. They were happy, in fact. Or at least Mukahi was, and that, Ohtori decided, spelled trouble. "I won our bet, Yuushi. They are doing it."

Gakuto doesn't congratulate them, but he's just in denial about how happy he is for them.

They're both wearing white, because they have to look strikingly dashing. Ohtori's got a nice white tux with tails and a light-blue bowtie/vest/cummerband.Shishido's wearing a wedding dress. Neither. They both feel very strongly about their partners, but they show it in different ways... Shishido, except he didn't realize it until after Ohtori realized he was in love with Shishido.

Shishido became friends with Ohtori early during his second year, and they occasionally hung out together and did cool, manly things because they were cool and manly -- already teenagers! By the time Shishido was dropped from regulars the following year, he'd already fallen in love with Ohtori, but he was so preoccupied with his situation that he didn't realize it. It came to him one night during their training when Ohtori'd hit him with a particular bad serve... he was lying on the ground, staring up at the night sky, and as he listened to Ohtori call out to him from across the court, he realized that there wasn't anyone he would rather spend his time with. He picked himself off the ground, looked across the court at Ohtori, firmly squashed the butterflies racing through his intestines (engines full-throttle), and gave his partner an imperious "Next."

Shishido talks with Oshitari, because they're in the same class, and it's easy for him to bring it up since he knows that Oshitari hardly has any room to make fun of him. Ohtori talks to Kabaji because he's the best listener.

Not Atobe, because he's too busy not realizing that he's in love with Kabaji. Or Tezuka. Or both. Besides, he'd never fit into the equation. Ever.

Shishido was happy. So, so, so happy. It took him some time to move, though, but when he tried to say something, nothing came out. He blushed a bit more, looked away as Ohtori looked up at him, and continued walking down the road. Ohtori was right behind him. ~>

Ohtori was nervous. So, so, so nervous. Walking home from tennis practice one sunny afternoon shouldn't have been any different than it usually was, but he had a feeling that the cat would be clawing its way out of the bag sometime soon as more and more of his very being was overrun by Shishido. He watched his feet kick up dirt on the way to the fast food restaurant where they always had their post-practice meals. The silence was making him jittery, so he, lamely, decided to say something about the weather. But as he lifted his head to speak, he met Shishido's eyes, which showed an attentiveness that burned him to the core. It made the mundane comment that followed sound a bit too much like, "I like you." ~>

Oh God, I did not just say that! But he had, and Shishido was a testament to it. His eyes were wide, and he'd stopped in his tracks, staring unbelievingly into Ohtori's eyes. Ohtori gaze fell with his heart. His head drooped, and he closed his eyes, a quiet apology already running its way through his throat. But then blunt fingers brushed lightly through his hair, and he knew that everything would be all right.

Well, most people seem to think Hiyoshi or Taki. I dunno... Hiyoshi I can see for various reasons (not really, except for the whole second-year thing), but Taki I don't know enough about (and even if he never held a grudge for the whole Ohtori-helped-Shishido thing, it still isn't enough to make him fall in love with his former doubles partner). :/ But really, I don't think that anyone would be Shishido's rival for Ohtori's love, because they're all lovey and exclusive and stuff.

They don't hide their relationship. They act as they usually do, and just the Hyoutei regulars really know (because it's, well, frickin' obvious).

Shishido, because he's loud and raucous, and he makes fun of Atobe.

Neither. But if I had to choose one, I'd say Ohtori. No, really. Because Shishido doesn't realize just how much he likes Ohtori, but that unconsciously keeps him at bay. Ohtori realizes how much he likes Shishido, but then he realizes that he's attracted physically to other fellas, and he's like, "Oh noes." But realistically, neither.

Again, no one would cheat, but if it's Ohtori, then... someone from his art class or something. Because he's loud and raucous, and he makes fun of the first-chair violist.

They yell at each other. They don't cry, because, well, they're having a spat but they're still together, so neither of them has anything to cry about.

Shishido pulls a "You know what? I'm sorry!" but Ohtori is able to get a real apology out of him soon enough, even though he's already forgiven him.

Shishido's too busy talking to Ohtori to notice that he bumped into some guy and accidentally spilled his ice cream all over the guy's shirt. So it's Shishido's fault. Or maybe Ohtori's fault... ^^;; But Shishido's apologies fall on deaf ears.

Ohtori wants to beat the guy up, but he just semi-politely explains that it was an accident, notes that Shishido already apologized, and tells him off. Then he yanks Shishido toward him with an arm around his waist, and he drags them both off to his house to do various... things.

After bumping elbows on the armrest between them for a bit, Shishido just goes for it and grabs at Ohtori's hand, but he misses and claws into his thigh instead. While Shishido's too scared to move, Ohtori goes from surprised to amused to blushingly indulgent, and he smiles as he slips his hand under Shishido's and twines their fingers together.

Noodles. Then Ohtori drags them to a random street vendor and they buy some random sweet pastries.

Shishido's growly, naturally, but he's also mature and patient, so he waits all of three seconds before he links arms with Ohtori and tugs him away.

Ohtori's polite, as is wholly proper, and apologetic as he's being dragged off, hopping on one foot to barely keep his balance.

Shishido-kun spent so much time there that it was as if she had two little brothers. Oh yes, she was overcome with joy. But Shishido-kun was kind of cute, so she didn't really mind.

They didn't go far. They never did, really. As much as his body was telling him otherwise, Shishido knew that Ohtori was much more than just a, well, physical companion. A few open-mouthed kisses -- usually on the lips, but sometimes across the neck, whenever they were feeling ambitious -- was enough to get them both breathing too hard despite hours of tennis practice and blushing themselves permanently red. But as much as either of them wanted to continue, they wordlessly agreed that that was as far as they ever needed to go. They still had new manga to read and better video games to play, so it -- whatever "it" was -- could sit pretty on the back-burner... for now, at least.

Ohtori, because he knows that Shishido doesn't like being around his brother when he doesn't have to be. Shishido says that they don't get along, but Ohtori knows that Shishido just doesn't like being teased.

Well, naturally, Shishido's ready and rarin' to play singles, so he illogically decides to strut his stuff first, even though it means he'll be S3. Also, he kinda knows that Atobe won't let him be S1, and he figures Kabaji doesn't care either way, so he may as well let him play S2 since he won't gloat about it.
５２．宍戸君初登場、ズバリ貴方の第一印象は？ (Honestly, what was your first impression of Shishido-kun's first appearance?)
I didn't make much note of it because I didn't know a lot about Hyoutei when they were first introduced (which, I'm assuming, is normal, and therefore forgivable).

Ohtori was on the stands with the rest of Hyoutei, watching the matches and being just a bit concerned about Hyoutei, since their doubles teams had just lost miserably. He never imagined that Shishido-senpai would suffer the same fate.

It was a bit difficult, though, when his kouhai grimaced at the tennis ball in his hand and flinched whenever it made it across the net. "Oi, Ohtori! What are you doing?!" He watched as Ohtori frowned again (well, not again, per se... he couldn't do something again when it was already tattooed, harsh and painful and just a bit too chiseled to be comfortable, on his face). "Well, senpai..." Ohtori tossed a ball into the air and sent it shooting across the court, into Shishido's side. "I was just thinking that this is a bit reckless, but..." Another serve, this time to the chest, right above the heart. "But I admire your strength, Shishido-san."
６２．特訓してた場所ってどこ？また、何時ぐらいまでしていた？ (Where did they have their special training? About what time was it?)
They sneaked into Hyoutei to use tennis courts that they were familiar with in a place that wasn't so scary in the middle of the night. Because they're still boys, not men, no matter what they look like. It was about 9 or 10 at night.
６３．この特訓、皆には秘密にしていたと思う？どうして跡部様は特訓の内容を知っていた？ (They kept their special training a secret from everyone, don't you think? Why did Atobe-sama know about it?)
Atobe's the buchou. He keeps track of every single one of his players, so obviously when he sees Shishido getting bruises and Ohtori serving more accurately and the two of them growing closer, he figures something must be up.
６４．宍戸君の首筋の傷…これってどうやってできた傷？ (How did Shishido-kun get the scar on the back of his neck?)

Gakuto fell in love with Oshitari when he first met him, though he scoffs at whomever says so.

Same as with Shishido -- I didn't know much about him, so I didn't think about him too much.
６７．レギュラー復活劇、どうして対戦相手は滝君だった？ (For the regulars comeback plan, why was Taki-kun the opponent?)
'cause Taki was a regular with a play style that's closest to Shishido's (that is, there's nothing special or outstanding about it, no special moves or techniques, just... really good tennis). All the other regulars have traits that Shishido can't emulate, so he wouldn't be able to take their spot on the team.
６８．滝君と鳳君、二人はダブルスを組んでいたと思う？ (Do you think Taki-kun and Ohtori-kun were paired up for doubles?)
I think so (Ohtori was standing next to Taki when Hyoutei was on the street tennis court, and we all know that, in Tenipuri, who you stand next to and who you talk to and who you look at and who you mention in passing and who you have the same shoes as mean everything)... is there an official take on this? O_o;;
６９．榊登場！宍戸君は監督にいただかれちゃってる？ (Sakaki appears! Did Kantoku approve of Shishido-kun?)
He thought nothing of it -- Shishido was dropped from regulars, and that was that.

Ideally, yes. It wouldn't have meant anything if he didn't care about it at all. So every morning, he secretly he primped and straightened and moussed it up until he could tie it into a sloppy ponytail and go for a run before showing up for tennis practice.

"Either," was the curt reply. Shishido threw his arms up. "Don't cop out, Choutarou! Answer me honestly!" And he glared at Ohtori expectantly. But the glaring melted into a furious blush when his mind finally registered Ohtori's quiet reply. "Honestly, I really like you, and that won't change, no matter how you look... because it's you, Shishido-san."
７６．忍岳ＶＳ鳳宍戦！スコアは何対何だった？勝った時のセリフは？また、負けた忍足＆向日のセリフは？ (The OshiGaku vs. ToriShishi battle! What was the score? What did they say after they won? What did the defeated Oshitari and Mukahi say?)
Ohtori couldn't be happier. He'd just played doubles with Shishido against their tennis club's D1, and they won! Exchanging a silent glance with Shishido told him that his partner was pleased with their performance as well. And who wouldn't be? Ohtori knew that they were great friends, so it wasn't much of a shock to him when they came to understand each other almost immediately after they stepped foot on the court. But what did surprise him was that Oshitari and Mukahi didn't seem terribly bitter about the 6-3 loss. They were happy, in fact. Or at least Mukahi was, and that, Ohtori decided, spelled trouble. "I won our bet, Yuushi. They are doing it."

They'll both get drivers licenses, but Ohtori will insist on driving because he secretly loves being in control.

I'm kind of keen on the "Shishido grows up to be a teacher" idea, so I'll go with that. And Ohtori will be a musician. But they'll still play at random tennis tournaments as a doubles pair together. </lame, cookie-cutter answer>

Atobe's the buchou. He'll be the first to give them his blessing. Jiroh will be the first to congratulate them, because, despite his constant state of lethargy, he saw it coming before the rest of them did. The rest of the regulars follow. Gakuto doesn't congratulate them, but he's just in denial about how happy he is for them.
８６．結婚式！二人はどんな恰好をしている？ (The wedding! How do the two of them look?)
They're both wearing white, because they have to look strikingly dashing. Ohtori's got a nice white tux with tails and a light-blue bowtie/vest/cummerband.

I prefer ToriShishi simply because I think Shishido would be very willing to be the uke for Ohtori (and because I honestly think Ohtori is strictly seme material), but hey, their love is reversible, and Ohtori wouldn't mind if it were for Shishido (sure as hell Shishido wouldn't mind).

I think maybe some of the pairing of Ohtori and Hiyoshi came from the Match Point RPG. That RPG was pretty popular when I started in the fandom a couple years ago. Hiyoshi was very interested in Ohtori, but Ohtori was only interested in Shishido, which made for some nice angsting.
I want the bromide people to release a card of Ohtori and Shishido making out and get it freaking over with.
Yes, they should just do that already! Between the cards and all the slashy calendar images, we ToriShishi get THE best merchandise fanservice. ^_^

I mean, where else would we get all our lovely crack pairings? :D But ToriShishi really is basically canon, so we have full license to sit back and laugh at all the other pairings that come up.
