just another day on the job
Jul. 14th, 2006 09:54I complain about my job sometimes, even though it's probably one of the easiest jobs out there. It's just that I can't stand sitting here with nothing to do (between running bitch errands for the masses), completely bored out of my mind, feeling my skull slowly implode.
But every once in a while, something interesting happens.
We got a box of dry ice delivered to us today. It doesn't belong to us. The box is falling apart, and mist is spreading all over the front of the office.
The secretaries are panickedly calling around. Why?
They're hypothesizing that there are dead body parts in the box.
The box is addressed to CSE, but they knew nothing about it and told us to call Aero. Aero doesn't really know anything about it either, but I think Mech is coming to pick it up. But for now, there sits a delivery from some hospital, a misting box that may or may not contain severed limbs.
Yes, exciting days.
