Because I chose all of the right classes this semester, all of my finals are due this week, so even though I theoretically have a second week to get finals done, I won't be able to use it. D: But it's okay, because I can hang out with the seniors during Senior Week next week. :D

I wrote out a schedule, and it's beautiful, but it's also in Japanese, so I'll give you an English abstract, minus the nonsense, unnecessary things like "wake up" and "eat":

Wednesday:
  • finish CJVC draft
  • finish EAS draft
  • practice violin

    Thursday:
  • English group conversation (it's my "final")
  • finalize CJVC paper
  • finalize EAS paper
  • quartet concert

    Friday:
  • turn in Japanese final
  • turn in CJVC paper
  • turn in EAS paper
  • relax...?

Watch me forget to turn in the Japanese final even though I took it the night we got it. :/

Saturday is my relaxing day, though I have to get some work done on some websites that I theoretically was supposed to be finishing up all semester. Self-imposed deadline (which I communicated to my employers) is May 15th. D: But on Sunday I will be heading into the Big Apple with the boy, and we'll spend the night in some ritzy hotel (for free!) since he was in a Japanese speech contest and got randomly selected for a hotel night in New York. :D

Any suggestions for things to do in New York? I was hoping to head to the Brooklyn Museum to see the Murakami Takashi Superflat exhibit... anything else? Nice places to take a walk? Hole-in-the-wall restaurants to hit? We're being as stingy as possible. v(^0^)

I don't have any places to suggest in NYC, since I don't get there often, so I'll wish you luck with finals instead. Good luck!

    Thanks! I find that it's easiest to get things done when I don't sleep, but that's maybe not preferable... >_>;;

I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and to see Les Miserables. Loved them both.

I'm really jealous of people who go to school in or near New York because their public transportation is so good and because there are so many things to do. Museums galore! And I've never been to the Met, but I hear it's great.

    Thanks for the suggestions! :D

I'd suggest going to any of the Broadway shows. Also, try out some of the ethnic restaurants; why go to a McDonald's when you can always go to one some other place?

Ethnic, indeed. We're looking for lots of good restaurants. :D

Eek eek! So exciting. Hmm. We don't go to New York much, but the last time we went to this really good Thai restaurant and a frozen yogurt place that mixes *real* frozen yogurt with like a bajillion kinds of fresh fruit and cereals. I mean, if you are interested in either I can try to remember where they are ... :)

So, um, details on where both of them are...? (I feel like all we're going to do there is eat...)

Ahh sorry dear. Let's see if I can figure this out. The froyo place is called the Red Mango. It's on 688 6th Ave, right across from the 23rd Street PATH station. Um. Jason did all the navigating for the Thai restaurant - I'll try to get back on that soon, just in case you run out of places to eat ;)

Okay, it's late now. Sorry. Um. But just in case. It's called Rhong Tiam (apparently Rhong Piam if you're looking on google maps ...) and it's located in Greenwich Village right near Washington Square Park. Address is 541 LaGuardia Pl. If you're on the subway I would go from West 4th St. Station, straight down W 4th along Washington Square and then turn right at LaGuardia.

Anyway, I hope you have a lovely trip, darling!

Thanks for the directions, dear! I'm not sure that we'll be able to make it there, but we'll definitely keep it in mind. :D

I wasn't invited to NY why?! If you see anything cute and buchanany will you pick it up for me? I'll reimburse you - just don't break me too much ;).

I suggest screaming at hookers, because it's good to get to know the hookers in every area you're in.

Most importantly - TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES!

Pictures, no worries. I'm on it. :P Maybe I'll get you some candy from Chinatown or something.
