On the recent LJ mayhem: I'm not "jumping ship", as they say, because I have a permanent account here, and I'm optimistic about the one-of-these-days option of the old-version comment pages coming to us. But since it seems to be a thing, I suppose I'll let you all know that my Dreamwidth account is, in fact, ltgmars. I've had it sitting around for a long time without using it, but if people are actually going to start posting there, I'll do my best to cross-post and keep up over there.

So yeah, if that's your thing, or you feel like that might be your thing at some point, add me. :3

You know, I'm not sure I really get what all the fuss is about. Of course, I stopped renewing my paid account a while ago, so I guess these things generate less rage when the product is free but *shrug* I dunno. Maybe I'm just too out of the loop, or maybe I've just gotten used to the once-a-year LJ screwup.

I added you on the DW in case of emergencies and whatnot. I'm pretty sure it'll be the usual "we're moving!" drama, then folks will trickle back to LJ, per custom.

I figure that's how it's going to be, honestly, because LJ always does sort itself out after a while, but I have a decent number of friends moving permanently, so I'm going to try to keep up in both places, I guess.

I've had a DW for awhile for fic purposes/back-up and I'm over there at track_04, too! Not sure if I'm going to crosspost yet or not--I think it depends on how many people end up moving. I don't plan on leaving LJ since my flist and communities are here, but I am definitely not bothering to renew once my add-ons and account expire. I usually just ignore whatever annoyance the latest updates causes, but this has been irritating enough that I actually bothered to comment on news and release posts. Lol.

I think ultimately there isn't going to be a huge shift in DW; individuals will go, and I'll try to keep up, but there are simply too many resources on LJ that haven't yet been replicated on DW.

And yes, haha. This is the first time I've actually bothered to participate in the discussion because the change was that unacceptable.
