0. The enumerated list thing is really handy. Sorry for being unoriginal.
1. Finally watched Rokkakumyu and Rikkaimyu last weekend! I really like the rival schools (Irei's pretty attractive as Saeki... and Sanada still slaps people, yay). No comments either way about the new Seigaku (though Minami is really reminiscent of Kengo for some reason... or maybe some other cast member that I can't place at the moment... well, the point is that he's a good singer, but he's not really distinctive because he reminds me too much of someone else).
My favorite song from Rokkakumyu has to be Acrobatics & Genius, even if Aiba still can't really sing. >_> But the harmonizing is so good, and Rokkaku sounds so awesome! They were also very fun to watch during Court de Aou! Good, strong vocals, and well-done choreography (especially the simultaneous stepping... I have a thing for stepping choreography). Unfortunately, the same can't be said about the choreography during Kagami no Naka no Ore 2... as much as I love Hyoutei, and as nice as the song is, the arm-flapping and wrist jiggling and whatever else made them look like damn fools. My favorites are the there's-something-smelly-in-front-of-my-face move and the fist-held-against-forehead-in-angst pose.
As far as Rikkaimyu goes, my favorite part was the D1 sequence. So fun. Baba Tooru yay, glasses YAY. 8D And my favorite song in that musical is the Must Be Strong/Finalist medley at the end. It combines some pretty good harmonizing with all of the joy of classic Tenimyu Engrish.
d00d, I haven't fangirled Tenimyu since, like, last year. It's nice to see that I still really enjoy it, even if it's not quite the same as it used to be.
2. Yay for sheet music! My summer project just came in the mail: Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee (because Harrison wanted me to play it). I also need to work on the third movement of the Bruch concerto, to finally finish that sucker off after three years. D: To keep in mind for the future: Zigeurnerweisen, Lalo, Mendelssohn, Kabalevsky, Brahm sonatas. I'mma be a good violinist someday.
3. bubblewrapglory.org! It's probably going to be another collective, but I'll do one site at a time so that my ambition doesn't paralyze me. Ideas? I really think I need to do a violin website, and then some type of meganephile website.
Also, Anna, since I was pseudo-hosting you before, if you want a subdomain or something (it'll be reliable this time, since I'm doing it all myself), let me know.

Date: 2007-07-02 17:58 (UTC)I'd love to hear you playing the Flight of the Bumblebee *___* I think it's pretty hard for violin players.

Date: 2007-07-02 18:18 (UTC)Flight of the Bumblebee shouldn't be too hard to play... it's just that learning is going to be annoying. XD Maybe I'll record myself playing it once it's in decent shape.

Date: 2007-07-02 20:00 (UTC)b. I have never heard you play the violin! :O
c. I wish I could figure out a way to come visit, since I assume you're still at HCA and that's awfully close. :(

Date: 2007-07-03 14:20 (UTC)Aw, it would be so wonderful if you came to visit! You're at home now? The bus to Philly isn't too bad, is it? I guess if your job(s) get(s) in the way, it might be a problem, though. D:

Date: 2007-07-03 05:19 (UTC)Rikkai's theme was boring for me, but the rest of the songs were amazing and jdkslgh stuck in my head for ages! I think the medley had Next as well or whatever that song's title is. And yeah it was pretty damn awesome, the way the voices blended and all that <3
Will shut up now :x

Date: 2007-07-03 14:23 (UTC)The only song from Rikkaimyu that was stuck in my head was Rikkai's theme. XD Well, and the "tsuyoku narunda~!" thing they sang a zillion times.

Date: 2007-07-07 15:29 (UTC)Rikkaimyu and the casts grew on me pretty quickly when I watched it again, the first time didn't leave a big impression but now I'm more or less obsessed again. :p I'm glad, I was worried that Hyoutei leaving would totally kill off my Tenimyu-fan...nism (? is that even a word?)... and I'm not ready for that yet, ha.
And hey, subdomain, sounds great. :D You read my mind, I was just thinking how I have time for making a site, finally...

Date: 2007-07-07 19:58 (UTC)Subdomain! What do you want the subdomain to be?

Date: 2007-07-09 15:48 (UTC)And DL4th! I'm so happy to see Hyoutei back. Even without Kazuki or Saitou.
And... I'll think about the subdomain for a bit more, I'll let you know, k?

Date: 2007-07-13 17:58 (UTC)And you know, it could take me months to come up with anything for a site name, so you can make the subdomain just crayonsun. :p I fail.
